Thanks for reaching out, there is a sign up post under the reading challenge folder where you can comment and say that you would like to sign up and I will put you on a team. But since you asked I'll just go ahead and sign you up right now, so don't worry about it. Sorry, the sign up post was under the wrong folder.
You are in team 2

No, the challenge starts April 1, from that time any book you read counts. The challenge ends on May 3.
Let me know if you have any other questions ❤

If you don't have a library near you or one that is easy for you to access it's fine if you just read any book regardless if it's from the library or not. I'll still count it.

Hi Nhu! I finished Blood Gospel by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell. It's over 400 pages and has supernatural elements.

I just finished another book. I read Saga Book 1: Deluxe Edition by Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples. It's over 400 pages and takes place in a different universe. I can't believe I waited so long to start this series!

No, I only just finished Saga Book 1. You already recorded the points for Blood Gospel earlier this week. But Saga is over 400 pages and it takes place in a different universe.

To celebrate National Library Week we are taking part in a (optional) reading challenge to show our appreciation for our awesome libraries.
How does it work?
Each book you read from the library this month (April 2019) from April 1 to May 3 counts as a point. The winner will be announced on the group page on Sunday May 4
Everyone who is interested will be in a team, teams will be decided before the challenge starts! All of the points you earn over the course of the month will go to your team.
Once you finish a book, you must contact or message me (kiera) so I can log in your points.
You can leave a comment on one of my updates or message me directly. Please don't just leave it on a group post. (The likely hood of me finding it will be very slim)
Example message/comment
I am (name)
I am in Life at the Library, group (name of your group). I just read (book title) it also fits into this category ( of the book fits into another category make sure to tell me!)
After you have contacted me and I have logged it in for you I will leave you a message or comment confining that I got your message and have counted your points. Please be patient, as this is quite the process.
For every library book you read that fits into a certain category you can earn a bonus point on top of the point you already get for finishing the book.
What are the rules?
Every book you read within the allotted time period mist be from the library.
You must get on a team prior or within a week of the challenge. The last day to get on a team is Sunday, April 7th.
All books must be logged on (you must contact me about any books you finish no later than May 3).
How do I enter the challenge?
You can enter the challenge by commenting on the challenge announcement post. Once you have entered you will receive a message from me confirming that you are on a team.
Remember you must enter NO LATER THAN Sunday, April 7th
Once you have been entered you will be put into a team. The team is who you will be reading with.
How do points work?
You will get one point for your team for any book you read (from the library). If your book is 400 or more pages you can win two points. If your book also fits a certain category (will be posted in another topic) then you can earn an extra point. MAKE SURE TO CHECK IN WITH ME ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED A BOOK BEFORE THE DEADLINE!
Leave any questions for me in the comments or send me a message via Goodreads. Or comment on one of my status updates! (Those are the best two ways to contact me!)
Points!
Thanks to Nhu for suggesting that I put a points chart so you can see who's in the lead!
