minty (minty_2017) | 2 comments Hello.
I'm an italian GR user. Please, forgive my grammar mistakes: I don't speak English very well.

I'd like to add this item to the database:

https://www.amazon.it/fabbrica-sogni-...

Actually, that Amazon image shows only the NAB part of the product. But, as you can see here (you can find part of the product description in English language too):

https://www.unilibro.it/libro/il-triv...

the item is made up of two different objects: a book (an essay about a famous italian comics publisher, 159 pages) and a board game (a special Trivial Pursuit edition containing questions about comics).
Months ago I received this book+game as a gift. A writing on the front cover of the book says: "Libro + gioco. Non vendibili separatamente" (in English: "Book + Game. Not to be sold separately").

I searched GR Help topics about Not-a-book objects and found:

https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/1...

any of these items packaged with a book count as a book, if the specific book edition with which they are packaged is not otherwise sold separately.

Consequently, I believe I can add this book + game to GR database legitimately. Can't I?
In fact that book isn't sold separately, as far as I could tell.

Nevertheless, I'm really confused about how to appropriately fill in fields in the "Add a book" form. I.e. Title, Format, Edition...
How to fill out those fields when adding a book+NAB object to the database? Can you help me about that?

I hope I was able to explain my issue adequately. Thank you in advance for any help.

Emily | 17610 comments Your English is fine.

I would think that you can add this as a book but someone else can correct this if I am wrong.

If it counts as a book:
The title should be what is on the front of the book. Everything else should be the information from the book, like cataloging any book. The game is secondary. You can note that it comes with the game in the description.

Now I am having second thoughts, so someone else more experienced in these type of items should give their opinion.

I agree with this. The book is fine to add; the game would not be.
