Olivia (livka) | 7926 comments Hi Klarissa,
What makes these books a series?
Are there characters in common or continuous storyline between the books?

#3/6 Klarissa,
to be considered a series on Goodreads books need to have more than a common theme.

message 9: by Klarissa (new)

Klarissa King | 18 comments Olivia, did you unlink my whole series?
The books are connected, hence they are a series. Every book ties together with reappearing characters, reappearing worlds and settings. Now please, link them back together.

Olivia (livka) | 7926 comments Hi Klarissa,
my reply is still in message #8.

Neither a common theme nor the classification from the Wikipedia will make books a series as per Goodreads policy.

I was reading through blurbs and reviews and could not find any mention of the books being connected.

Could you please expand on this?

Klarissa King | 18 comments Olivia,

I have been in contact with the experts (waiting to hear back) and have been doing my own research on what constitutes a series on Goodreads.
"As a general rule, a book is only part of a series if that designation would apply to all editions of a work. To be a series, books should have characters and/or universes in common. In the case of imprints and other non-series collections, it is common for some of these books to be published under numerous other imprints as well."
(source: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...)

As my books and future installments share characters and universes (especially in the ones to come), it would appear my series is very much so, a series. As mentioned in my previous comment 35 minutes ago, and yet...no re-linking has happened.
Timely action will be appreciated.

No, but a shared universe does. And so do reappearing characters, all of which will be tied together in books to come (and there are already connections within the existing two books that take place in the exact same universe). As I have mentioned. Several times.

is a Lithuanian omnibus containing books 4-5 of the Corum Chronicles https://www.goodreads.com/series/4232..., so I think it needs to be added to the series.

Beliar | 124 comments https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... is a Lithuanian omnibus containing both books in the Brion Brandd Series: Planet of the Damned (aka Sense of Obligation) and Planet of no Return. Hence it probably should be added to the series https://www.goodreads.com/series/5475....

These are part of the same series. The former a prequel novella, the latter a full novel. So, they probably need to be marked #0.5 and #1 respectively. Though I have no idea how to call the series...
