The Golden Notebook by Lessing

This novel is dense, complex and complicated and yet it was never a chore. The writing is beautiful, warm, real and I will certainly read another Lessing novel soon. This was a book that I wish I had read rather than listened to though as I think it would have bee easier to keep all the loose threads together in my mind.
