Timber is Missing question

Am I the only person on the planet who still cares about typos and grammar. It amazes me that writers, editors and publishers do not take the time to proofread before putting a book on the market. I can't recall the last time I read a book that did not have obvious errors. Does anyone else notice or am I alone and need to let go of my OCG (Obsessive Compulsive Grammar)?
