Camellian | 2 comments Hello fellow fans,

I recently read an article about artificial meat production etc and I remembered reading a dystopian novel wherein the protagonist (I think it was a woman) discovered a laboratory where a huge artificial chicken was grown which only consisted of wings and thighs I think, but definitely haven't had a head and / or the capacity to think. I remember the language depicting it as something vile and horrifying and I would love to reread the passage again, but I can't think of which book it might have been.

Anyone here has a clue? Thanks a lot!

In short: Name of the book in which there is a giant artifical headless chicken

I'd love to use this as a contrast in school and would be delighted if someone could help!

Cheers!

Andy Giesler (andy_giesler) Might you be thinking of ChickieNobs from Oryx and Crake?

Ryan | 2 comments I can’t figure out how to start my own thread so I’ll just post this here and hopefully one of y’all will know but... I need help finding a book. I believe it’s a dystopian novel. Two of the main characters were needing to have a private conversation and they were in public. They used a “cone of silence” or something similar so no one could hear them. The device was clear so they could still be seen just not heard. I believe they were in a political venue and they were plotting a murder or something devious. Does this ring a bell to anyone? Thanks

Angela (angd) | 3 comments Gosh, I really looked for an answer for this. All I can find is the Get Smart series, lol. But I'm posting to follow because now I need to know! ;o)
