What kind of reader are you?

If I had to choose just one, I would say: The Elitist, aka the Book Snob. I don't use an eReader, there is something about actually holding the book in my hand, flipping the pages, seeing the beautiful covers, and watching my collection grow on the book shelf. I always buy books brand new, not used, nor any renting from the library. I always read the reviews on a book before I invest my time and money into it, but still go in with an open mind and hope for the best.
I guess where I felt something was missing for me within this category is "WHY" I read. I read very specific genre's, and I stick to books that fit remotelt close into them, but my reason for reading is to brought into a world that is different than my own. Not to say that I don't love my life, but I like to be brought into a new world and place myself in the shoes of the characters I'm reading about. How would I react? What decisions would I make? Would I even survive? Books inspire me and energize my imagination. They are thought provoking and help me to look at aspects of my life in a new light.
So while I may be a "Book Snob" and I am okay with that (all of you book snob haters can just move along), I would also call myself an "Inspired Reader" or a "Reality Escaper." I don't know, something like that.
But still, great blog. Very cool to read. :)
Please read my latest blog post and tell me and everyone else what kind of reader are you?
