Hi - is your first chapter a special promotion or is it part of the 10 pages that you advertise on your website? It seems like a normal part of your process so I don't think that this qualifies as a special offer.
Thanks
Thanks
Hi, Dakota,I consider this to be a special promotion because it is for an entire first chapter--whether it is 10 pages or 50 pages.
The offer I have on my website is meant to allow people who are already interested in my services to see if our ways of working would be mutually beneficial; up until this point, none of my clients have taken me up on it. We've gone straight to work! The offer here is meant to promote my work to people who aren't aware of my service.
To me, this is a special promotion that I'm just offering to Goodreads members.
Thank you for clarifying. I want to make sure those on this board are utilizing it as stated and not another way to circumvent the 30 rule.
Hi Jamie,My latest book, The Search for Catherine, deals with foster care and situations that compel a mother to leave her children. It may touch on dark situations at times, especially as it relates to danger or crime. Please let me know if you are available to proof, copy edit or line edit, the first chapter. Your services are sincerely appreciated. Thanks. The Search for Catherine

Hello Jamie,I am currently working on a sci-fi piece of flash fiction. I appreciate a critique as it is in it's third draft. My piece is called Xiaon G12; Core Element.
synopsis
Maverick alien bounty hunter G12 is sent on a mission to locate a rogue agent on an uncharted planet. On his travels he is teamed up with a by the book cop, and uncovers a sinister terrorist plot.
So let me know if you have some free time and if you are interested cheers Paul.
Sorry about that! I've been having some various technical issues for the last month or so, which are hopefully SOLVED. You don't want to know what I accidentally did to my computer a few days ago!Jamie

Free time? LOL! But I think I can manage a piece of flash fiction. :-) I don't know how valuable my advice would be on a short piece, but feel free to message me when you are ready!PaulBentham wrote: "Hello Jamie,

Feel free to PM me here or use the contact form on the website. Tell me a little about your book, which service you prefer, and any preferences you might have. Let's discuss your project!
Surf the site a little bit when you have time. I have some guides on self-editing fiction and nonfiction, preparing for professional editing, and understanding the differences between editorial services. I also have blog posts about getting more reviews for your books as well as how to (possibly) save money on editing.
