Roll 9
Space 41 - 4th book in series

Finished: 29th September 2014
Rating: ★★★★
Review
I have said it before but I am really liking this fast paced story....A warrior scarred... A descendant of Diana... When two worlds collide... Atlantis is unmasked.
Alexios survived two years of unspeakable torture at the hands of a vampire goddess. Now he's been ordered to team up with a beautiful warrior and take on the most dangerous mission of his life: to retrieve the Vampire's Bane. Without it, Atlantis can't ascend to the surface and take its rightful place in the world. But when evil threatens, will Alexios be led by duty-or his heart?
Grace is part of the rebellion against the vampires and shape-shifters trying to take over her world. She is deadly with her bow, because when she takes aim, she never misses her target. But suddenly she's focused on a damaged Atlantean warrior who sees her as a weapon, not as a woman. When thousands of lives are on the line, will passion overrule, or will her aim be true?

Synopsis
Hilary and Mark Bradley are trapped in a web of suspicion. Last year, accusations of a torrid affair with a student cost Mark his teaching job and made the young couple into outcasts in their remote island town off the Lake Michigan coast. Now another teenage girl is found dead on a deserted beach. . . and once again, Mark faces a hostile town convinced of his guilt.
Hilary Bradley is determined to prove that Mark is innocent, but she’s on a lonely, dangerous quest. Even when she discovers that the murdered girl was witness to a horrific crime years earlier, the police are certain she’s throwing up a smoke screen to protect her husband. Only a quirky detective named Cab Bolton seems willing to believe Hilary’s story.
Hilary and Cab soon find that people in this community are willing to kill to keep their secrets hidden—and to make sure Mark doesn’t get away with murder. And with each shocking revelation, even Hilary begins to wonder whether her husband is truly innocent. Freeman’s first stand-alone thriller since his Stride novels is a knockout.
This was a great suspense novel. It was filled with a lot of twist and turns, well developed characters, and great story line. Action filled from start to finish.

Review- I really like this series...It is a change for the vampires I usually read about...
Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert.
But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shapeshifters called skinwalkers. Just when the Druid thinks he’s got a handle on all the duplicity, betrayal comes from an unlikely source. If Atticus survives this time, he vows he won’t be fooled again. Famous last words.

Synopsis:

Wow.....what to say???
I was struck by the careful, line-by-line craftsmanship of the writing. The powers of this book were strong, haunting and memorable.

Review:
Another outstanding book in this series. I've given all three books 5 stars. I loved both Rikker and Graham. This was a second chance at love and I love how their relationship played out. I liked that it was told in both POV's so we really saw what both were feeling. So can't wait for Bella's book next year.

Review: I am really loving this series...Each book hooks with the last but a story to itself....
DEMON ENSLAVED
Lore is a Seminus half-breed demon who has been forced to act as his dark master's assassin. Now to earn his freedom and save his sister's life, he must complete one last kill. Powerful and ruthless, he'll stop at nothing to carry out this deadly mission.
AN ANGEL TEMPTED
Idess is an earthbound angel with a wild side, sworn to protect the human Lore is targeting. She's determined to thwart her wickedly handsome adversary by any means necessary-even if that means risking her vow of eternal chastity. But what begins as a simple seduction soon turns into a passion that leaves both angel and demon craving complete surrender.
Torn between duty and desire, Lore and Idess must join forces as they battle their attraction for each other. Because an enemy from the past is rising again-one hellbent on vengeance and unthinkable destruction.

Review:
Deacon is the fourth book in the Unfinished Heroes series and I must say I enjoyed it. I do like Kirsten Ashley's books and this was more of the same. I liked reading and seeing the happy ending for Deacon and Cassidy.

Synopsis
Mels Carmichael, reporter for the Caldwell Courier Journal, gets the shock of her life when a man stumbles in front of her car outside the local cemetery. After the accident, his amnesia is just the kind of mystery she likes to solve, but she soon discovers they’re in over their heads with his past. Over their heads with passion, too. As shadows walk the line between reality and another realm, and her lover’s memory begins to come back, the two of them learn that nothing is truly dead and buried. Especially when you’re trapped in a no holds barred war between angels and demons. With a soul on the line, and Mels’s heart at risk, what in Heaven—or in Hell—will it take to save them both?
When I first found this author it was with her series BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD, just loved the fist three in the series, then they just got so tiresome. Then I saw she started this series FALLEN ANGELS, and I love them. This is a re-read for me and I still enjoyed every word on every page. It was such an intense story, with twist and turns that leaves you a emotional wreck.

Review:I am really liking this series...Can't wait till next one...
After twelve years of secret training, Atticus O’Sullivan is finally ready to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth and double the number of Druids in the world. But on the eve of the ritual, the world that thought he was dead abruptly discovers that he’s still alive, and they would much rather he return to the grave.
Having no other choice, Atticus, his trusted Irish wolfhound, Oberon, and Granuaile travel to the base of Mount Olympus, where the Roman god Bacchus is anxious to take his sworn revenge—but he’ll have to get in line behind an ancient vampire, a band of dark elves, and an old god of mischief, who all seem to have KILL THE DRUID at the top of their to-do lists.

Review: A couple of weeks ago I read Gives Light, I loved reading the story of Skylar and Rafael. This book tells the story of the first book, but with the POV of Rafael. Skylar was the POV in the other books in this series. It was nice going back and reading Rafael's POV. Even thought it was a retelling, there was new content.

Synopsis
After her brother dies in a trauma room, nurse Claire Avery can no longer face the ER. She's determined to make a fresh start—new hospital, new career in nursing education—move forward, no turning back. But her plans fall apart when she's called to offer stress counseling for medical staff after a heartbreaking day care center explosion. Worse, she's forced back to the ER, where she clashes with Logan Caldwell, a doctor who believes touchy-feely counseling is a waste of time. He demands his staff be as tough as he is. Yet he finds himself drawn to this nurse educator . . . who just might teach him the true meaning of healing.
This was a book about learning to love and live and discover God. I really liked Logan and Claire and all of the secondary cast. I had read others in this series, but I would recommend you read them in order. It was a very pleasant read, one of those books when you closed the cover you just sighed and thought how glad you were you read it!
