A Darker Shade of Magic question

1) I loved this book and I can’t wait to read the next one! It had me guessing what’s going to happen next the entire time – near the middle of the book, I honestly thought that it was Red London’s King & Queen who was after Kell because of the cutthroats’ royal swords & because they have hidden his past… What is his past??

2) Part of it felt like Kell & Lila were in a videogame moving up the levels with increasing difficulty: grey, red, white, then black… but then we never get to see the final level! I’m curious to see what it’s like – what if it’s actually not as bad as we think it is? What if it actually rebuilt itself and is a prospering city? What if Holland regains his strength within that world?

3) The biggest question that I struggle with is if Red London is in the wrong for not helping White London fight against Black – or was it the right thing to do?

4) Oh, also, I feel like there's a love triangle coming on... but I hope that doesn't happen. And as sad as I was for Kell & Lila not to stick together at the end, I'm also glad she went her own way to keep seeking out her pirate goals ;)
