I dont remember why, but a couple is given the opportunity to live in a perfect town half time. They swith off weeks with a different couple. The protaginist eventually ends up having an affair with the guy who lives in her house when she and her husband don't. They ride scooters and meet up in some other location during the time when they switch out. Its a young couple but not YA.

Do they spend the other half of the time in prison? If so, I think this is Positron by Margaret Atwood (sorry, can’t link on phone). She first published it as four separate Kindle stories, so you may have read one of those instead.
