Trelawney Williams (trelawneywilliams) I bought a book at a train station store in Rome a few weeks ago (so shouldn't be more than 2 years old and pretty sure English was first language) and would love to read the sequel.
It's probably classed as adult. A romance set in London society where the main female character and a Lord pretend to court, in an attempt for her to gain more suitors and him to be left alone from suitors. As time goes on, the female character starts falling in love with him etc.
The following books are about the siblings of the female character rather than her.

Trelawney Williams (trelawneywilliams) Found it. Surprised to see it was released in 2000 with a new cover in 2006. It's 'The Duke and I' by Julia Quinn if anyone's interested :)
