When Jake was preparing for his return to Baltimore after his assignment on the task force, he reached out to Rachel. Why do you think she brushed him off?

[Laura]

He never made it clear he wasn’t with Linda anymore.

[Jonetta]

Did I miss that? I couldn’t recall where they talked about that at all.

[Laura]

They didn’t talk about it, then but that should have been his opening line. She should have asked then too I guess. When she called him for help she was still checking him out for a ring.

I think it was pretty vague as to what they said when he contacted her. I think she assumed he even if he wasn't with Linda, he hadn't contacted her previously. Quite a bit of time went by I think.

It was never related to us what happened when he made that contact. He also didn't respond to her all that time she was still e-mailing him. She just gave up on him and I don't blame her. Then he contacted her out of the blue, she was confused.
