Gunna be tough for those teams to keep the momentum going for the remainder of the season....unless these injury stuffed teams get some good players back soon.

Have Carlton suddenly morphed into those proverbial blue bummed flying insects, or have the Crows got big problems?!
Carlton sacked their coach at the beginning of June. They have appointed one of the assistant coaches as caretaker until the end of the season. As is often the way (North Melbourne and St Kilda are in the same situation), the players seem freed up and suddenly are playing like a team with nothing to lose. They also have a number of very good young players that they have recruited over the last few years by virtue of being wooden spooners (finish last = number one pick in the draft). Their (very young) captain, Patrick Cripps, is already a champion player. On the other hand, the Crows are under immense pressure. Their captain, Tex Walker, is badly out of form but still retains his place, whereas the mercurial crowd favourite Eddie Betts (how Carlton ever traded him is beyond my belief) was dropped this week. I can't see any quick fix for their woes.Eddie can do this week in, week out:

Two come-from-behind wins. I was a bit worried going into the game that my Bombers might take the Suns too lightly - they played well last round. The visitors chose to rest some of their best players and, sure enough, they were struggling for most of the day. They were 4 points down with a minute to go! Lucky Dons!
