SOLVED. Fiction Adventure Hunting crocodiles dynamite nitroglycerin river; Lance, Ewart [s]

Hi, I read a book many years ago in relation to hunting crocodiles (fiction) Two characters I remember were Lance and Ewart, The hunters used sweated dynamite (nitroglycerin) to kill crocodiles, they place the nitro in the river and detonated it by throwing logs at it.
The character Lance was a gambler and owed big money to a syndicate so his brother Ewart took him along to make money hunting crocodiles for their skins.
I can remember the plot basically but writing it here wouldn’t help much.
I hope someone can help me find this book.
