What is she thinking--this girl as she gets ready to pull her blade? Is she defending those she loves? Studying as an apprentice? Won't you give us her story? In drabble form (100 words or less) tell us a little about what you think she is about to do. As always, keep it YA in content.

Brooklyn Graham | 59 comments Misaki was dead. Yuri had wept for days, even as the elders chided her for her weakness. The arrow that was surely meant for her had missed its mark and now, there was nothing but to seek retribution. Her father’s katana gleamed brightly as she tested its weight. There were the games with her brothers as a child but never had Yuri felt the true weight of a sword. There would be no bunkin takashimada for her; breaking with tradition the elders had granted her bushido. This one time, Yuri would fight side by side with them, for her beloved Misaki.

Melvin Davis III (tr0isxheart) | 87 comments I pitied her lifeless corpse. She loved a woman who could not give her soul rest. Granted,I carried the katana that would. I knealt in the presence of emptiness, it purified the shameful glare i sent into her void. The snow fell and I looked away for one second....She was gone. “Away with me!” I yelled. The cold responded by brushing the arch of my head. My heart unfolded onto my tongue as I read the word, “FIGHT” in the snow. I gathered myself...I’d have to carry out the hand of the lotus, avenging the death of my fallen petal.

"It's called Red Destiny,” the Monk said when he saw Mayleen was about to pick up the katana.
“It is also known for its….”

“Hunger of blood” Mayleen answered before the Monk could finish.

She picked up the katana and started to walk out of the temple.
The Monk didn't stop her from doing that.

“winter is here and the wind has brought a message of destruction.” the monk shouted so she could hear him.
“Use it well.” He suggested.

Mayleen stopped walking and without turning back she asked.
“You believe in that Prophecy?” When she got no answer she walked out.

The ice covered every each of ground and she was standing in front of an army.
All eyes were fixed on the katana.

The Knight moved forward and kneel
“It is the “Red Destiny” my Queen
No one has dare to use it for Centuries. Because it destroys everything whatever comes in its way.

She didn't hear more than the words “My Queen”
She raised her eyes from the katana and looked at soldiers. In their eyes, she couldn't see the princess anymore. Because she is the Queen now.
Her whole family was slain. She is the only and true heir of the kingdom of Oath.

The rage filled in Maylene's heart. Now she has no choice but she has to take back her throne. She has to fight for her people who believe in her.
She has to take revenge for her family and her love Xia's Murder.
She has to kill the fake king and finish the battle once and for all.

She held the katana in front of her and all soldiers kneeled before her.
The rumble of armours reverberated in the sky.
She closed her eyes and started to pull out the “Red Destiny” from its sheath.

Basher2004 | 16 comments Sorry for the late post!

She’s dead. They killed her. I loved her and they killed her. That was two years ago. Now I must honor her.

“I am death. I am pain,” I proclaim, drawing her sword- my sword now.

They circle me, big men and women in armor. Murderers all of them.

They charge towards me, terrifying and fierce. Almost as fierce as she was.

Our blades cross, and then they fall like snowflakes. Their blood stains the snow as red as her armor.

The last one hits the ground and I sheathe the blade. She is at peace. I am at peace.
