Clary is slowly understanding some of her gifts. One is her ability to create specific runes that provide certain powers. Your thoughts about her new skills? Is this the tip of the iceberg for her?

I think her skill is pretty cool, but she's way to immature to understand it right now. Once she learns more about runes and what she can do, I think she'll be a force to be reckoned with.

It is odd that other shadowhunters don't have similar gifts or areas of expertise like creating new runes. Relates back to Valentine somehow?

I think there’s something unique about Clary and Jace. They’re just at the infancy of discovering their power. I’m not sure it comes from Valentine, though. He certainly knows about it, however.
