Christine Grant I hope this is the right place to post this. I am trying to find a quote I read in a book by either Robert B. Spencer or Sue Grafton. The gist of it is that their mother, when proven wrong about something, was entrenched (in her wrong opinion) for life. Can anyone tell me which author, book and the quote? Thank you in advance!

CBRetriever | 2552 comments not likely to be Sue Grafton as her Kinsey Millhone character lost her mother when the character was a small child

David Freas (quillracer) | 2954 comments I don't think it was Parker's Spencer either, as his mother also passed away when he was young.

Christine Grant The author was definitely one of those two although the quote might very well have been about a character's mother rather than Kinsey or Spencer. I actually think I remember it being Kinsey and the quote was her talking to her sister about their mother?

CBRetriever | 2552 comments maybe about the grandmother, but Kinsey had no sisters

Skye | 2105 comments I haven't read all the Spencer books, but I have read all the Grafton books; Kinsey discovers she has a family later on in the series; it could be her grandmother ( of one of her odd cousins.
