Rachel N. | 2248 comments I'm going to give away what little plot there is so if you actually plan on reading this book I suggest you stop reading this review, doubtful since only two people have reviewed it on goodreads. Istvan was the number one male tennis player but now in his thirties is starting to head towards retirement. His good friend and his wife die in a plane crash and he becomes the legal guardian of their daughter Natty. Istvan is of course a ladies man and has multiple girlfriends, all of whom Natty is incredibly rude to. Most of the book is Natty being a brat and Istvan sleeping around and playing tennis. Then about 50 pages from the end of the book Natty who is 18 declares her love for Istvan, 22 years her senior and still her legal guardian, and they become lovers and nobody objects. This is when I nearly threw the book against the wall. I'm still pissed off at this turn in the story. There's no way I would have finished if I weren't reading this for a challenge. If you ever actually see this book I suggest running far away from it.

KateNZ | 4102 comments Semi autobiographical? Or wannabe? Wouldn’t be surprised...

It sounds completely awful! I’m sorry it ended up being your Trim book so you felt like you had to finish it rather than throw it in the nearest bin. Nastase was a fabulous tennis player but the next Dick Francis he obviously wasn’t ...
