If I don't get any responses here, I do plan to delete these combinations.
I can see where the 'creator' is coming from.Goodreads policy states that to be a series books need to have characters or universe in common.
There are many authors who write series with characters from other series referenced (like an easter egg for frightful readers) or even characters crossover, but I do not think it's a good idea to drop all books by these authors into one basket and call it a series.
There are more cases like these where an extra series page is used to link the 'real' series.

Different series for chronological order and publication order are a bit different from the issue here, but those are valid.
Yup.The author does not list these as series. The individual series are completely different and stand alone.
I guess I feel like who are we to make this decision? This is simply a suggested reading order list. Which equals Listopia.
I'm going to delete these self-created series. I hope that someone from GR staff will make a note in the manual that wanting a static reading list does not a series make.
It really depends whether or not there is a connection between the series. If there are some settings/characters in common, which I understand from the first message, it would be valid. A series page doesn't mean you have to read them in a certain order.

The author is very specific as to what books her series encompass. This is not that. And that is what I mean by a reading order list.
In looking at the author's site...she does NOT do this combination.
Yes. These books have some intertwining. No. You do not need to read them as one long series.

Can a librarian comment on the policy for this? I don't think its a good idea for readers to create their own "official" reading series on GR.
