I believe that I read the book around 2013-late 2015, and there was this one scene where the protagonist somehow discovered that the reason why the old instructors were able to maintain youthful looks was because doctors extracted fetuses from pregnant women. I also remember that the protagonist was very obedient to the instructors at the beginning, but nothing more.
