This makes me wonder if authors are pushed to produce quantity over quality. Felt like a short story with all the meat missing and just the bones left. (hide spoiler)]

Huh, I got a totally different sense from this novella. It didn't seem messy to me at all, but maybe it was just my mood or that I was reading it while tired and wasn't paying that much attention??

I think maybe I was expecting something else.. or not expecting such a short standalone.
