Tina Van | 3 comments About 15 years ago, say around the year 2000, I read a book written filled with case studies and interviews with couples and their relationships.

As far as I remember, the author converted the interviews she did for her PhD into a book and grouped the examples around universal topics that all types of couples struggle with.

For example, one woman met her partner/boyfriend on an island where she went mostly for partying. He was a waiter or bartender and their interview specifically surrounded the fact that her intellectual friends do not accept him and she sometimes feels embarrassed to be with him.

At least some of the case studies where with British couples.

The author also wrote examples about her own relationship in which it was clear her partner was a woman.

The cover was white and I think it had a sink and two toothbrushes on.

The last section of the book specifically profiled couples in creative industries like writing or acting that lived apart by choice.

You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 176 where fewer eyes will see it. Get back in the game! Bump!
You can do this by typing a new comment at the end of the thread, or even by typing the word "bump."
Good luck!
