Nice! I did not know this. Thank you!(And, I'm off to take a look...)
"1499 ratings (3.42 avg)

#48 top reviewers"
Huh, that's pretty cool about the top reviewers, too! Didn't know that, either!
News to me too!629 ratings (3.42 avg)
342 reviews (I do not write a review of every piece of fluff or comfort I read).
I've only been really active on GR since 2016 when I started keeping track of my Pop Sugar Challenge reading on it. I think it was 2017 before I decided that I'd keep track of everything I read on GR, even the fluff. I'm pretty pleased with my stats!
Yes, mine is 3.27, but it's going to go up this year because I am focusing on reading 3 star and up books almost exclusively and am going to abandon almost all books that aren't at least a 3. This may be a permanent trend. So many books.

1694 ratings (3.85 avg)700 reviews
Recently, I've tried to pick books which I expect will earn a 4 star rating. I'm not always successful, and I do not rate my DNF books.

Wow, I know a few of the top reviewers, but if that's the number of reviews it takes to get there, I'll never make that list, lol.
My rating average is 3.69 . . .could be a lot worse. More interestingly, I've only rated 7% of my books 2 star or lower. I guess I'm more generous at rating than I thought.
I think the "top reviewers" is based on the number of reviews / books you enter in a given time period. When I first joined and was trying to bring forward all the stuff from Shelfari, I was # 1 one day (because I had added about 100 reviews in one day). Don't think I've made the "top" list since. But I don't really follow it.My current stats:
2031 ratings (3.30 avg)
2041 reviews
I rate/review every book I read. If I DNF a book because I hate it, I rate it ZERO stars (and that's why 10 books have no "ratings" according to GR) and write my review explaining why.
But ... if I abandon a book because time constraints interfere (happened with the first book I picked up for Iraq and ditto for the first one I picked up for Portugal), then I don't rate or review and I keep the book on the TBR.

No, my 2nd attempt at the shelfari > GR import was successful (but not the first), so that would have been the big push, but that was 3 years ago now (*sob!).
I just went to click on the #48 top reviewers, as it is clickable. Turns out it's only comparing me to others in Canada! So, it must go by geography? (And now, I'm #49.)ETA: And there are options to click:
"this week | this month | in the last 12 months | all time "
but it looks like the default is "all time".
(At least when I clicked mine.)
And, when I click the others, I don't register in the top 100 (in Canada) at all. The only way I show up is under "all time"
Haha, you've just reminded me that when I first joined Goodreads I was living in Luxembourg and I briefly had a ridiculously high ranking there just from giving ratings to a handful of books to test out how it worked ;-)For context, I just looked and the top reviewer in tiny Lux posted 4 reviews this week https://www.goodreads.com/user/top_re... whereas the #1 in the US somehow posted 957(!) https://www.goodreads.com/user/top_re...
Were lucky to have you! That makes two others in our group from that area of the world. I bet Kate and Susie are also in the top five too. I’m coming to visit 2028. Get ready....

I really meant 2028. My husband laughs because he thinks I plan to much in advance, and he doesn’t even know about and understand about all of this future planning and organization on my phone for the books. So in order for me and my husband to visit Australia, my youngest has to be driving. He’s 8 1/2. And I also can’t go during critical moments. Like I can’t go during the SATs, anywhere near our high school graduation, the Jewish holidays. I’m serious. Could I leave my practice for a month? With nine years of warning, yes! But summer of 2028 appears to be the first time I could literally take off a month and not have to worry about my kids or needing to be there for them. So that’s in my sights. It’s my third child has graduated high school gift to ourselves. So don’t make up the beds just yet. But you can paint it in your calendar.
And getting to the taxes is a serious problem! See how I am prioritizing the last 40 pages of Becoming? Review today or tonight!

If you go to your profile page, under your profile picture is your number of ratings and you average rating score. Example, mine is 510 ratings (3.52 average) If you click on the "3.52 average" it will break down your ratings.
