What do you think of first person narrators in fiction?

I think, like anything, there are pros and cons to first person narration. I use it in my UF series, because I want the reader to be limited by my narrator's lack of knowledge and have to learn along with her. I use third person in my YA sci-fi, because I want the reader to gain insight from multiple perspectives, have a better understanding of the world, and be privy to narrative secrets.
