Chronicles of Erui - Song of a Falling Star (Part 1 now in English)

Good Morning everyone.

I'm really exited, that I can finally post here. I joined GR in 2015 and found this group years ago. However my books were not translated yet. Yesterday was the day: Th English version of my "Song of a Falling Star" is available. I also enlisted it to Kindle Select.

It is the beginning of a High Fantasy Saga, having a lot of youngsters as protagonists, so I tend to list it in YA. However there are a lot of German readers far older than this, for there are several plotlines with more mature characters.
So you defenitely should be into tangled and twisted stories with lots of perspectives that change throughout the book.
Though it is primarily a YA book part 2 and 3 (already in translation) have a much darker tone and I would not reccomend for anyone aged under 16.

Synopsis:

When a child dreamed the first of all human dreams, Gar'Erui the world beyond the veils came to life.

Human hopes and desires filled the newborn realm with all kinds of magnificent and cruel entities, resembling the best and the worst of mortal souls.

No one knows that better than Fenia. Raped and tortured she reappears in the human realm four years after she was supposedly killed by the boy she loved.
Where she has been, what has happened to her, remains a mystery to family, friends and the police, for not a single word slips her tongue.

Only Dave, father of one of her classmates, can draw a connection between her disappearance and his own story. He realises what must have happened beyond the veils since he left:
The magic world is doomed to fall to the all-devouring Shadow, unless the ancient spell is woven again and the redeeming Star of Erui is revealed.


The journey starts with the return.
