I just finished a book that fits for the BFF task! Posting to spreadsheet & review thread now!

The “door on cover” book is only 5 hours long on Audiobooks & I’ve already started listening to it. So I should have it done by tomorrow, definitely.
So, what will we have left once I finish the “door” book? Tasks that aren’t claimed at all yet, I mean.
Since I finished the “BFF” task, the “cat” task, & am currently reading the “door” task [which I should have finished by tonight], these are the only remaining unclaimed tasks:25. Read a book that a teammate has given up
54. Read a book which has the word 'out' in either the title or author's name
59. Read a book with either the word 'rock' or 'roll' in the title or author's name
I don’t really have a specific shelf for books I gave up or DNF’ed because it’s very rare for me not to push through & finish a book I start, but here are a few books off the top of my head that I gave up on. I didn’t actually DNF them because I intend to come back to them eventually. But technically, I did “give them up”. If anyone wants to try to read any of these...
Age of Order by Julian North
The Bourbon Kings by J.R. Ward
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
The Nix by Nathan Hill
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
Gretel and the Dark by Eliza Granville
Exit West by Mohsin Hamid
I have found a couple different books I could try to read for the “out” task... if no one else is reading for that one.
I think the hardest one we’re gonna be dealing with is the “given up” task. Like I said, I could probably read for that one... but I wouldn’t have it finished in time for us to start working on a second round of tasks before the end of the month. [If that makes sense.] It’s the end of March 22nd. So we only have 9 [well, more like 8 since today is almost over] days left in the month.
Sorry I’m at Apollycon for the weekend so I haven’t been able to review or look at spreadsheets. I’ll have my computer back Sunday evening tho!

I should be able to finish it today."
I see that Maria has reserved #35 for herself. But the book she has in its place has the word “out” in it. So we should absolutely use your book for #35 and use Maria’s book for #54.
Even though her book for #35 would get the 5 bonus points, I think it would be better for us to use your book & put Maria’s for #54, that way maybe we can move on to the next round of descriptions before the end of the month & get more points than the bonus 5 would give us.
Hello Hello. So things have sucked and I have not only had no internet but have also been training in a new role and finishing up in my old role at work.. It has been a hectic few weeks - which means no reading.... Sigh.
I am almost finished Matched, but I won't have anywhere to put it, so i will put it in banked books. And I will also be reading Three Wishes as per the spreadsheet. If i can find anything else I own to fill the open spots i will let you all know :)
Happy reading!
Also, can anyone give me a few books they have given up? I am happy to fill that slot, but I would prefer to read something between 200-400 pages, I am not sure I can take on a big book.
Thanks t guys :)
I found two books that fit #59 and #54#54 Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper
#59 Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor
Both non-fiction that i can read this week as they are a bit shorter, but neither will get the bonus. Please let me know if this is okay to do :)
Review posted for Rhett & Link's Book of Mythicality: A Field Guide to Curiosity, Creativity, and Tomfoolery. #35. I'll updated the spreadsheet to reflect this.
I was looking at the thread and description 61 is not yet completed - "read a standalone" (Sarah said the book requested for that item has a sequel). Are there any other banked books that are standalones that could be easily posted to fill that slot instead?
Is the spreadsheet 100% accurate as to what's been posted with reviews? Because ours looks very different than what is on the Progress Thread here so I just want to make sure I'm not going to choose a book and steal someone else's "spot" in the challenge.
Jessica wrote: "Is the spreadsheet 100% accurate as to what's been posted with reviews? Because ours looks very different than what is on the Progress Thread here so I just want to make sure I'm not going to choos..."Well, we’ve encountered a few different problems along the way. Not only that, but Abby hasn’t updated our progress thread to reflect our latest progress, either. So that’s why.

There’s a list of my given up books in message 214.
Jessica wrote: "I was looking at the thread and description 61 is not yet completed - "read a standalone" (Sarah said the book requested for that item has a sequel). Are there any other banked books that are stand..."Yes, I can post one of my unused books for the standalone task.
Also, the book I read for the “cat” task didn’t count. So I removed it from the spreadsheet. I don’t think I can handle another cat book, so count me out for that one. I tried. LOL!
The book you removed for task 35, Jessica, I guess Maria will have to use that book for the “out” task.
Jessica wrote: "Is the spreadsheet 100% accurate as to what's been posted with reviews? Because ours looks very different than what is on the Progress Thread here so I just want to make sure I'm not going to choos..."We should have 48 descriptions completed. So Abby just hasn’t updated the tracking progress thread yet, Jessica.
Also, at this point, so late in the game, I don’t think we should worry too much about stealing someone’s spot, to be honest. I think if we have an unfinished description & someone else happens to complete it, then we need to just go ahead & fill it in & try to progress as much as we can before the end of the month. We don’t have much time left to try to complete our descriptions.
Okay, so yeah, looking at the spreadsheet, it looks like Heather has started & finished a whole lot of descriptions, she just hasn’t reviewed & posted them yet.
[[ Frankie ]] wrote: "I think PrincessJas is supposed to be changing her 99 Days book to the standalone task."There's a note from Sarah in the review thread that 99 Days doesn't count for standalone because it has a sequel. So if you could put a banked book there, that would be good.
So looking at our spreadsheet, these books are finished but just need to be reviewed and/or posted:- Task 1: Brooke: The Last Letter from your Lover
- Task 18: Heather: Monday's Not Coming
- Task 31: Heather: Losing Hope
- Task 38: Heather: 13 Minutes
- Task 39: Heather: Girls of Paper & Fire
- Task 46: Heather: Truly Devious
- Task 48: Heather: Ice Like Fire
- Task 52: Heather: The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
- Task 56: Heather: Daughter of the Pirate King
- Task 62: Heather: The Rithmatist
- Task 67: Brooke: Power of Five
Hi! I finish Knock Love Out were I put it. Because I found my spot already posted by Jessica. So it's 54 available? We lost the bonus points 😞
María wrote: "Hi! I finish Knock Love Out were I put it. Because I found my spot already posted by Jessica. So it's 54 available? We lost the bonus points 😞"Yes, we should use it for the “out” task. Hopefully then we can move on to the next round of descriptions quicker before the end of the month. If we can just try to finish our first round of descriptions, then we can start plugging in unused books into the second round tasks.
Jessica wrote: "Found White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L ArmentrOUT on my shelf. Started it for Task 54."Maria has already completed task 54. You swapped with her when you posted Rhett & Link book. All she has to do is post it in the review thread. It’s already been read & reviewed for #54.
I was trying to see which book from the banked books we could use for the standalone task to try to get the most points, but a lot of them aren’t finished yet, so I just posted one of my banked books for that task, task #61.
So I posted as #54. I will be reading #43. When I finish it I could read something else. Let me know...
Morgan is reading Throne of Glass for the given up task. I think she said she’d be done with it this weekend.
Maria, how is The Boy on the Bridge coming along? Are you still planning to read for that task? It’s for bonus points so I didn’t want to move it just yet, but I have a finished book I could post in its place if we need to.
Okay, I did everything I could to update spreadsheet & post as many completed & reviewed books as I could. It looks like majority of what’s left has been read but not reviewed. There are a few that have been started but not finished quite yet, too.All except for a book with “cat” in the title or authors name & a book with “rock” or “roll” in the title or authors name.
