I know it’s a retelling and I expected something like that, but somehow Rhen looks like a decent person, capable of love and being loved. I wonder why other girls didn’t like him much. Is it because of the beast he turned into at the end of autumn? Or if a girl falls for him before the autumn comes, would the curse be broken? (hide spoiler)]

That’s an interesting detail about this particular retelling. I like the trope, when an ordinary girl changes the prince’s life in general, but with this little twitch I like it even more. Whether it's part of the curse or the secrecy. The only thing that bugged me is how they said literally every other girl from our world is happy to be kidnapped except Harper, lol. Also that of course she has a non-feminine name, because she's so different. Not like we get to pick our own names... And girls with feminine names can be whatever they want to be too. I feel you, there are some questionable parts, but I was trying not to think of them much. I thought Harper would fall for Rhen first and then Grey comes later but it seems Grey was the one who broke the curse then? Unless Harper's act of sacrifice did it? But she said she doesn't know if she loves him yet. And why do I get the feeling Lilith might not be dead? Grey left before he saw her actually die. I hope she did, though. (hide spoiler)]
