Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments Barry: thanks for sharing, I haven't read his books, but I have seen them on shelves for years. I found it interesting that his pen name is from his own initials plus the mythical creature, a griffin.

Unfortunate. His series always sounded great to me. But at one point though I think I started reading The Lieutenants and couldn't get into it. Backburnered the rest.

BarryP (barrypz) | 3498 comments I am ex military. I found all of his books very entertaining, but when his son started writing them, they lost the element or reality i recalled from my own service.
