Martin | 3 comments All I can remember from this book is what I've written in the topic. A man travels back in time, gets stuck there, then decides to (re)write hit songs to make money. I THINK it was a 'Book of the Week' or 'Book at Bedtime' on BBC Radio 4, several years ago. I'd really like to give it a read. Thanks.

Rosa (rosaiglarsh) | 5384 comments There’s a short story like that called “Bob Dylan, Troy Johnson, and the Speed Queen,” by F. Paul Wilson. It’s in Rock On: The Greatest Hits of Science Fiction & Fantasy and other collections you can see here. Was yours a full-length novel?
Do you remember when he went back to?

Martin | 3 comments Thanks for replies, so far. Rosa, the only line I can remember from the book goes something like, " I wonder what Paul McCartney thought, when he woke up one morning to hear a song on the radio that he'd been formulating in his head." Given that quote, it sounds like he probably went back to the early to mid 1960's. As I recall, the '(re)writing songs' thing wasn't the premise of the book, just part of the wrap, near the end, explaining how he survived, financially.

Rosa (rosaiglarsh) | 5384 comments So it’s not Glimpses?

Michele | 2488 comments Martin, was this a kids' book or intended for adults? When did you read it? Do you recall anything about the cover, or whether the book was long, short, or medium?
