SOLVED. A thriller named in Spanish ´´los verdugos´´. [s]

, I remember that the name in Spanish is Los verdugos, but I want to know the name of the author. The book was a thriller about a man who lived a normal life, but then he started beein chase by a stranger. His daughter was a girl 15 years old, a kid who likes to go on bike with his friend, an old female dog and a big house with a big backyard that was near of a forest or something like that, i think its an old book writen around 1950 or before.

Cape Fear by John D. MacDonald? It was originally published as The Executioners in the 50's. It was also made into a movie in the 60's and a remake in the 90's.
