I found this book to be very entertaining. Allan Karlsson is quite the character, escaping from the old folks home on his 100th birthday without a plan, but it all works out with one of the more entertaining adventures I've read. The characters he encounters on this amazing adventure are each one of a kind. Jonasson does a great job of telling the story in a fun to read way, and his characters are fabulous! The second story line told alternately with the main story is that of his incredible life with mention of all the historical figures he crosses paths with. If you are looking for an interesting and entertaining humorous adventure you might want to pick this one up.

I have the sequel on my TBR and enjoyed this one at 4 stars as well. I liked the humour, and I think that that part has to be a match in order for the reader to enjoy this, because, like a great deal of humour, it is a bit over the top!
