I just started this today. So far I like that every chapter starts off with a family photo. It's a very personal account of the author's childhood growing up without her parents who were far away working in America.
I am up to Chapter 7. It is so sad how unkind most of her relatives in Mexico are. What a hard childhood!
I just finished this book. It is very sad. I was also very saddened to see how much pain was inflicted within the family.
