Is there no character/ person that exists that is like Jem Carstairs??

I think Jem Carstairs is such a sweet gentleman-like guy who acts so kindly with every single person. Also he has such an interesting personality. Why do all the guy characters that exist have to be such smart-asses? All I think is that the majority of the guy characters are those that always act rude to the girl and push them away. What do you think? Is there someone like Jem?

hmm .. interesting, but no .. i don't know any character like him .. the way his character is just beautiful and you wish he actually existed .. kind and gentle, yet strong .. won't fall under the kind yet naiive ones .. as Tessa said "steel under silk".. in fact the characters of TID are all unique and are in harmony with each other and make the series perfect ..

His character was so different from anything I have read, honestly he is amazing! I don't think I have loved a character more than him. And when he appeared in the TMI series I had a heart attack.

Yeah any mentions of Jem- I would get super excited (maybe overly). Also when he was brother Zacharia,you could tell that he still had the same personality which is so sweet!

I can think of a one that is similar to Jem but nothing like as amazing. Simon Bae from the Darkest Powers series by Kelly Armstrong.

I totally fell for Jem and has yet to find any character who is anywhere near him, that caring gentle but strong. I cried when he was dying in Clockwork Princess and once in awhile I would reread some of his moment...like being lovesick -.-;

I love Jem. Every time I read a book with bad any character, I think of good ones like jem and dimitri realize that I miss them like hell. I want to go back to those books and reread every page that has them in it.

I love re-reading those parts. Nowadays it's the books majorily with the guys being 'bad boys'. Jem is original and a perfect guy character =)

It's probably because many authors think to have an interesting guy character, they can't be obviously nice but rather mysterious. Even thought Jem is a great character, it's rare for someone like him being the most main character. Even in TID, Jem could be seen to balance out Will's personality. It's like Jem can't exist by himself (not sure if I can explain it properly but yeah). However, I do find the mysterious character extremely interesting and any books with those are really enjoyed. Maybe Jem's character is like a one-off

Hahas yes we cannot forget about Church! Yeah The Jem- Will brotherhood/ bromance is so perfect. I wanted both of them to be happy and each have someone. No wonder Tessa had a hard time picking. I kinda felt bad for her

Hello peeps, I HAVE FOUND MY JEM. So like I know everyone has their different ideas of jem and whatnot whatnot but this my opinion so don’t fight me pls 😂 but basically I’ve been watching this show on Netflix called meteor garden (it’s chinese) and the character called Lei is very very jem-like to me. I just wanted to share my findings with you all ❤️
