Not sure what happened, I couldn't use the link in the "private" message but the link in the group message worked fine. I have liked the page. Is it ok if I add a picture sometimes as I am friends with an author who likes to post amusing things that I would like to share.

Brenda thank you for the pictures. It looks like, however, that the posts of those pictures is not on the actual wall for all to see, unless they go to the wall for the post by others. So I am going to repost them using only your first name if that is ok. So continue sharing away but know that I will repost them with your name. This will go for anyone who shares something humorous on the Facebook page. Thank you so much for contributing to the page.
The page actually acts funny. It doesn't show up in my "like" list at all. I have had to save it in a different way in order to get to it. That may be why my posts don't show up. I have never seen a page act like this one does.
Um that is strange. I dont know maybe because it is still brand new (only about 12 hours now LOL)
When I did a search for A to Z Book Challenge one came up for Facebook that looks different than ours. Wonder if that is why it acts different. Maybe 2 pages with the same name does weird things. The only way I can post is by using a tab that posts things to a different spot. Not on the page for everyone to see unless they go to the Posts tab. Would be interested to see if it is just me or if other members are having the same issue.

I have noticed that other pages I have liked have a check by the name but ours doesn't even though I have liked it. I wonder if they have privacy settings? It may need to be made public in order for the posts to show up. But I'm not a genius about this stuff by any means lol

Who made the page? Not that it makes a difference but who ever did may have to make the changes for all of us to be able to see things. I don't get any notifications when anyone posts to it either. My online Bible Study group has a page that I get notifications whenever anyone posts to it plus it also shows up in my newsfeed.

I was thinking that but didn't want to step on anyone's toes. Maybe she might need someone to show her what she needs to do in order for it to act the way all the others pages do.
Actually guys it is facebook. This is a problem with a lot of the pages for people have to like posts and constantly like it in order for them to show up on peoples walls. However there is another way to do this, and that is to create a group that is open with the understanding that really that isn't the group itself. I can see problems with that for people might expect to have all the same information in that group which defeats trying to promote this page. With the page we just have to like everything on the page otherwise it will never show up. To help with seeing when a post is up (and for a while I am going to try and spam it with cute pictures and other posts in order for numbers to hopefully get up there) you can go to the page and hover your pointer over the liked button and click on the get notifications. This means though if you do that, that every time something is posted you will be notified in your notifications and however else you choose to get notifications (email or text or push).

Sorry Janine that only works with people who have computers. All I get under the "like" button is: unlike, unfollow or cancel. As I have said before not all people have computers so things that might work on desktops or laptops don't always work with mobile devices. It is hard to like posts when you have a hard time even getting to the page. I don't make it a habit to go to each individual page I have liked. I have never had to because as soon as I liked the page their posts started showing up in my newsfeed. I have also never had to pick whether I wanted notifications or not.
I dont know then for that is what the Facebook page has said about why the post are not showing up. I see what you mean about the app, not the laptop. I dont know about that. I just know really. I wish I knew about a social group that doesn't decide what you want to see for I would rather go with that.
That would be great cause the only way I can even get to the page is by clicking the save button and it saves it to a "books favorite" that shows up in my account settings. If I didn't have it saved I could not get to it. It doesn't show up in my "likes" section unlike any of the other pages I have liked which all show up. I'm not trying to be difficult, I'm just saying what is happening at my end and from what I have heard I am not the only one who is having trouble.
Not sure what has happened but it is now starting to show up in my newsfeed. However it still isn't in my "likes". I did notice it now says "just for fun" instead of "books" and when I saved the "page" so I can get to it, it saved it as a "Link". Wow I just noticed how many "its" I have in this comment. Scary!!!
Maybe with all the likes you have helped with it, "it" now will show up more in your newsfeed. Then again it can be showing up because I change its category though not sure if that is it. I am begging and pleading with friends to see if they will like the page to help get the numbers up and threatened my son with homelessness if he doesn't like it (though I don't think he took me serious there for he just laughed at me LOL guess he knows I am all bark and no bite). Hopefully with more likes and people liking it then it wont be an issue in a few days or so.
I know what you mean about the it but frankly the page is an it for it is neither boy or girl and being a royal pain at the same time. I would say this page is acting just like a spoiled baby doing its own thing LOL

You know I wonder if maybe the page should be a "person" where people instead of liking the page would have to add the page as a friend. I think that would make sure it shows up on everyone's wall. What do you all think?
Hey that is a good idea. That is how my online Bible Study did their enrollment for awhile. But they never put posts there so not sure if it would work any better. I am going to start sharing the posts now that they started to show up. Keep posting those cute pictures and I will help by supplying some also.

Well the A to Z Book Challenge Facebook Page is up and running. Please if you are on Facebook come over and like it and help spread the word. There will be news about the news activities starting, and cute pictures posted on it. As for signing up for the activities though that will still be here on the group. The Facebook Page is simply help spread the word about the group.
