Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) Here's another highly recommended Young Adult space opera story from the YA members of the other community I moderate. Across the Universe by Beth Revis is about a teenage girl who is awakened early on a worldship.

Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis

Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.

Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone - one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship - tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

Some of my pickiest reviewers absolutely gushed about the worldbuilding in this story, so if you're looking for a YA worldship tale, you might like this.

Tom Mathews I really enjoyed this one. It does double duty as a murder mystery. The whole trilogy is really good and has quite a few great surprises in it.

It was highly recommended by at least 9 members of the YA/A paranormal fantasy group I help moderate, and it's not even technically fantasy but a solid sci-fi novel. I'll be posting more YA titles as soon as I uncover them, maybe start a Listopia so it's easy to find.
