The coverart for this novel is beautifully drawn. With the woman and man embracing, she has longish red hair and he has black 'beady lizard eyes'. He probably has some sort of lizard skin going on too. They might have been standing by a large tree or surrounded by nature. This is the first book in a series of books.
As for the plot itself, they were forced to wed to avoid or delay war between the two factions. They end up returning to his homeland to live. She is very strong willed, and has to gain the trust of other lizard folk. She eats weird crawly things. They don't like her small human teeth, and she doesn't like their weird unblinking eyes.
The couple does not find each other attractive (until later), but rather become friends first. They are of royal or important blood.
SPOILER:
Someone is trying to kill her. And it is the evil step parent of the lizard guy. Also, lizard dude loses a limb.
