Changing My Goodreads Author URL

I would like to change my author URL from https://www.goodreads.com/StevenRamirez to https://www.goodreads.com/byStevenRam... to match my Twitter profile. Can someone do that for me or show me how to do it myself? Thanks so much.

As you have claimed your profile, librarians can't help with this. Have another good look & see if you see an edit button for your profile. (it may be in the pale grey GR is so fond of) Otherwise you will need to contact support AT goodreads DOT com.

No - the URL, as far as I can see, is directly formed from the name of the author as it appears on the covers. "By", therefore, would not be included.

Under 'Account Settings' > 'Profile'
There's a field 'User Name (customize your URL — goodreads.com/xxx)'

I would imagine author's account to have this functionality as well.

After looking at my profile more closely, I was able to change it. :)

Your URL doesn't have the "by" in it, although you have a reference that does and going to that URL reverts to the URL without the "by".

Elizabeth, sorry. I should have been more clear. The URL https://www.goodreads.com/byStevenRam... works, but it does resolve to Steven_Ramirez, which is fine. I just wanted the friendly URL to reflect byStevenRamirez. Does that make sense?

Actually no, because I've never used a so-called "friendly" url - but if it works for you, I guess that's good.
