Looking for a book that is 1 of a series, where the guy is on vacation in australia and it turns out that there is a plot going on that he knew nothing about (hard to explain without spoilers), he walks around and keeps finding odd things that end up leading him to the post office, a bar, the police station, and a barn. one of the things that they speak about is how fast his hands are.
In another book, he fights a smuggling ring, then a cave in russia, then an attack on a naval vessel.
The people that he worked for need more agents, but he retired then comes back to them.
There is also a black agent in one of the books and there is a exotic car chase between the two of them.
