Elizabeth Morgan (elzbethmrgn) | 303 comments I flew through Mary Robinette Kowal's The Fated Sky and, as everyone has said in the thread for it, I highly recommend. I enjoyed it more than The Calculating Stars, and it is definitely the wrap up of the story; MRK has said the story was split into two books.

Onwards, to a re-read of Lois McMaster Bujold's The Hallowed Hunt. It's been five years, according to Goodreads, and I remember nothing of the details.

i LOVED Cyteen. One of my favourite sci-fi novels. I'm sure you'll have fun.

Right now I'm reading over half way finished with Black Leopard, Red Wolf and pretty into it.

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1803 comments I don't think Kay's writing suits me so I'm slowing down my reading of Tigana to improve my mood, and start Borne. It is my first VanderMeer.

Dara wrote: "Silvana wrote: "Finished with Semiosis. Five stars. It is powerful, compelling, refreshing and easy to read character driven hard SF, with lots and lots of alien plants and wildlife..."

Glad to know, I think you'll like it.

I know I read it back when it first came out -- good lord, that was 30 years ago?!?!? I don't think it's my favorite Cherryh -- that'd probably be Downbelow Station or the Chanur novels -- but it's probably her best.
