Aitch Diamond | 6 comments Beta readers are an excellent resource for honing the connection with the vision inside your head and informing on whether you are portraying that imagination effectively to the reader.

I am an experienced and professional proofreader and proof-editor of fiction and can take your work to the next level. I can find not only the errors that writing platforms miss (and they miss a lot!) but help with structure and fine details on timelines, structure (sentence and layout) and I can compose style sheets to help you keep names, dates and places organised. I am comfortable with both US and UK English, and ESL authors.

I offer the first 2,000 words (or thereabouts) FREE with no obligation and I am happy with any genre. I will return it to you with 'tracked-changes' for errors and 'comments' with suggestions, and a short evaluation email with a $ rate per 1000 words, if you were to hire me. This might be all you need to let you know where you are with your work. It might be that you want to pay for my services in future.

For the free 2000 words please send me your excerpt attached as a Word. doc with your name and the story title as the document name, and a short message, if you like, about your expectations or with any questions.

Email : itsoverthehorizon@yahoo.com

I look forward to reading your work.
Hayley

Can you give me titles of some recent books you edited?
Thank you,

Aitch Diamond | 6 comments Hi Steve, I currently work only with self-publishing authors, and if you are looking for a sample of what I can do for you, I am afraid that there is confidentiality involved, I never share people's work.

Most people on Goodreads and the majority of my clients are still working on their manuscripts. With a lot of people I take their work in sections, (10k or so)so they can spread the cost, and I can spread my time. Also, I have no control over what they do with my advice or corrections, as they are self-publishing authors.

I have given my free sample advice to over forty people on Goodreads, and have proof-edited two complete novels. I have proofread over 400,000 words in the past six months in every genre, and from every level of experience, in US, UK, Aus English and ESL Authors.

I have a qualification from the Proofreading Academy, plus the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (Sfep) Proofreading P1, and I am on my final module with the PTC in proofreading and have completed a module on Editing Fiction.
