Vampire Romance similar why so hard to find?

There is a series by Meg Cabot, the first one is called Insatiable. I haven't read them so don't know what they are like, but I think Meg Cabot is generally a good entertaining writer.
The best vampire novel in my humble opinion is Robin McKinley's Sunshine, but it's not really a mystery or a romance novel, though it has elements of both.
Have you read The All Soul's Trilogy by Deborah Harkness? The first book in the trilogy is called "A Discovery of Witches." The main character is a witch who is also a professor studying alchemy texts from the Middle Ages. She falls in love with a sexy male vampire who has been *alive* since the Middle Ages! But vampires and witches are not supposed to fall in love in their world, so they are on the run from the ruling organization in parahuman society. There is a good mystery that binds the three books together, plus romance, intrigue, and some interesting historical stuff.

I am looking for a series where there is vampire, heroine, and a good story, maybe a mystery and romance
