Don’t let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! (Text –to-Self)

This is a fun interactive book. The author manages to capture the reader’s attention by keeping them in charge of a bus while the driver goes on a little brake. The readers have to guard the bus from a pesky little pigeon that tries his hardest to drive the bus. I can relay this book to my own life, as a parent of three young children; I can’t tell you how many times they have tirelessly tried to persuade me into giving them something they desperately wanted. The other day in the middle of winter, my 3 year old asked, “Mom can I have some Ice cream?” I replied with a no. He immediately said, “Please mom! I need some Ice cream to cool me down.” My husband and I just started laughing out loud and in this particular occasion, because of his creativity, we gave in to the Ice cream.
