Hiroshima is a city in japan that has been nuked and the book tells the stories 6 people that survived the nuclear bomb and talks about what they were doing during the time of the blast. The 6 survivors are Reverend Kiyoshi Tanimoto, Father Wilhelm Kleinsorge, Hatsuyo Nakamura, Toshiko Sasaki, Dr. Masakazu Fujii and Dr. Terufumi Sasaki.
Some of my thoughts during reading the book was how traumatizing it was. One part that I remember was that when one of the 6 survivors was helping a person off the ground, they grabbed her hand she her skin started to slide off because of the radiation poisoning. I also think how scary it is that one day your living your life peacefully and an atomic bomb gets dropped on your city and almost everyone you know has died or is ill due to the radiation.
In conclusion good book 10/10

does the book talk about how it led up to the nuke of Hiroshima or just explain the after effect of the bomb? does it explain more about the girl with radiation poising?

yeah, i know some on this topic i guess...i have actually seen them in a documentary and it is quite nasty to see them hold there face up

Not something i would read but it sounds interesting if it was a movie i would watch it
