I've been obsessed with audios lately. Lol. I have the romance package so I've been trying to get my list of books I want to listen to that's from there down.

I am about to start an audio of a book that's like 550 pages. But listening to it on audio won't take me that long since I listen to books on a faster speed.

Same for me, I use Overdrive from my library and I’ve been listening to another audiobook when I try to and from work, I listen in a faster speed too so it definitely gets me through some books faster. Plus I’m knocking out multiple books at once between my physical reads and audio :-)
I have started to really love the audios lately though too!

I have Overdrive too! But I like audible for audios better because on Overdrive you can't go higher than 2x. ):

But I use it when I have to. But it's so good for kindle books! And I have a lot of libraries on my account so it's so easy to find a book. (:

on hoopla with library you can go 3x speed!!! (on ipad app anyway) - I don't want to monopolize someone elses audible lol I'm just so moral it's sad

I used Alaina's Hoopla to listen to the Red Queen books. I can't go any higher than 2.5x speed. It's perfect for me. But 3x is WAY too fast. Lol. Alaina's crazy ass can listen on that. I tell her she's a crazy person who I need to commit. Lmao.

I listen on 3x speed - I start off at 2 and slowly go up if I'm concentrating with headphones on 3x is not an issue lol makes the book fly by while I colour

Omg. 1x! I would DIE! Even 1.25 Book is too slow for me. I can't do it.

I think when I first started listening to audios I jumped right into 2x. And then eventually I tried 2.5 and I was sold. Lol.

For me it depends on the narrator. Some I can go higher for because they are just sooo slow reading. Others I have to be around 1.5 or so to understand. I also get easily distracted listening to audio though so I don't do it as much lol

I noticed this with a book I recently read - at 2x speed it sounded so fast and I was like, what the heck - it was the narrator she just talked super duper fast lol

This is my first audio so I’m happy with 1.25. I have tried 1.5 and it wasn’t bad but 1.25 is my sweet spot.

I do use 1 or .5 when I listen in French though. :)

I have been slowly working my way faster. Mostly I'm on 2.75, sometimes 3 if the narrator is slower. I agree with Felicia, I use Overdrive but it drives me crazy to only listen at 2x speed. If Audible does a YA package, I will be all over that lol
