Bernie and Chet are specialists in finding missing persons - but a missing elephant is a new one for them. How can something as large as Peanut disappear into thin air?

The best detective dog in fiction is back with this third adventure in the series. As usual, Chet and his faithful owner have to track down who's responsible for the crime and avoid getting too badly beaten up by some seriously bad dudes. At the same time, Bernie's having to navigate some tricky personal stuff - and we all know how hopeless he is at dealing with that kind of thing. It's just as well that Chet's at his side. Learning some Spanish down Mexico way. Sitting up straight while riding shotgun. Always professional. Always on the job. Never distracted. Well, not much.

A lot of fun as usual, and with a couple of slightly more serious themes woven in. 3.5 stars rounded up because I enjoyed it so much.
