Sometimes I get inspiration from a joke, a phrase, and a lot of song lyrics. It really could be anything, but whatever it is tends to inspire a scene (usually a conversation; I love dialogue).
As for how long, it REALLY depends on life. I have a dayjob, and sometimes it's a real bastard to my writing schedule (haha). FOX took around 2 months or a little less to write, whereas YOU ARE HERE (my first book) went through many iterations and major editing rounds over a few years until it was ready. So really, there are a lot of factors in how long it takes :) I'm a medium-paced writer. I know those who can crank out a book in a month. Others, it takes them many months. :)
Thanks for the question!

I don't have just one. I have favorites, but picking just one depends on what I'm reading at the time, what kind of mood I'm in. Same goes for movies, etc.
Some faves of all genres: Neil Gaiman, LJ Shen, Katherine Stevens, Jana Aston, Leisa Rayven, Margaret Atwood, JK Rowling (I mean, HP forever), Sierra Simone... <3

YES! Currently in progress is "Lollipop" which is a followup novella to FOX (in Fox's POV), and the likely final in the series will be ZEKE, which I'm hoping to release this fall (ish). :)

I have always loved love stories. I started reading Danielle Steel at 12 years old, LOL. Even non-romance books, the romance element always interested me and I usually wished for more. I'm a huge movie fan as well, so the romantic storylines always pluck my interest (again, no matter the genre)!
Great question, thanks :)

how do you deal with block writing!"
Hi from New York! :) It depends but sometimes if I feel like I'm having writer's block, I walk away for a couple of days. Most of the time, however, I'm compelled to keep writing — almost like train of thought writing where I just let it go, no matter how bad or not in story it is. I pretty much flood the page until I tap into the next steps of the story. So, in essence, I write through a block until I blast the obstacle out of my way ;)

I'm working on finishing LOLLIPOP, which is the follow up novella to FOX (his POV this time). Also in progress is ZEKE, the third and likely final Bodhi Beach book. On deck are a few things, one that I'm really excited to get moving... also a beach book, but it's on the Atlantic side, this time. :)
Thanks!

I've always loved books, stories, movies, all of it. From my earliest memories, I loved books. At one point when I was, IDK around 9 or 10? My friend and I decided we were going to write the book versions of Grease and Grease 2 (sorry LOL). We got about a page in before we scrapped the idea and got our roller skates on. In high school I wrote horrible love stories that I only shared with the same friend. I've since reread and they are god awful. I should burn them, but they're so hilariously bad, I can't bring myself to do it. Anyway, it's always been a dream. It wasn't until I read Twilight (I love all PNR, espesh vamps of all kinds) and I was sucked in. Eventually, I thought, WHY AM I NOT WRITING STUFF!? So I got my proverbial pen and paper back out and set to it. And so it began! :)

Short answer: yes. Long answer: I didn't come back to actually TRYING to do it until much later. When I was younger, I think I just thought it was something I'd get to do eventually. Then I finally realized, "OH, I BETTER GET OFF MY BUTT." ;)

If it's bad for you, I probably love it. Friends and family tease me about my love of cheese. Also, mashed potatoes. And chocolate chip cookies. :D

Ooooh. Hmmm... I think I would definitely choose a PNR story, because you know, vamps, magic, crazy unrealistic stuff. WHO specifically, I'm not sure. Maybe "Elena" in Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series (specifically the Bitten, Stolen, Broken books — Elena and Clay, RAWR).

I'd love to know which book of yours is your favourite and why?"
Hi Irma, I'm very disappointed that I can't make Paris as I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed and I'm unable to do the trip as I'd planned.
As for my favorite book of mine, you know books an author's books are like our kids! ;) At the moment, thought, I'll admit FOX is on top (heh) right now as I'm in his head writing Lollipop (a follow-up novella to FOX).

Just like choosing a favorite child, choosing a favorite character is HARD. but I'd have to say it's a tie between Fox and Doc. Writing Doc surprised me with his swoonworthiness (IMHO), but Fox has hidden depths that even he was just discovering by the end of that book. :)
