A girl and her sister are in hiding because they have a tablet that can help bring power back to the world. The people have a practice of “winter brides” to help with population and her sister is a pregnant winter bride. The primary h ends up with a group of men that are mercenaries or pirates and they take her back to their home. She winds up with a man who’s a leader and the men make fun of the practice of winter brides. She is focused on helping the world with this technology her family has been protecting. In the end they team up to fight the bad guys and try to restore power grids. With hot sex scenes thrown in throughout the book. I believe this is the first book of a series. I read it sometime between 2014 - 2016.
