Shade managed a small smile at that and gave a nod. “Okay, thanks.” He set the phone down on their makeshift table from dinner. As she headed for the door he called after her. “Hey be careful will you?” He tilted his head and his mouth quirked. “No offence, but you look half dead. Don’t push yourself too far.” He said the last part gently. He truly was just a little worried about her he hoped she wasn’t overworking herself she looked tired enough.

Her shift went fairly smooth, she was once again praised by the manager as she left. Waving bye to everyone she was going to head home, but changed her mind. She went to the Library. She wanted to do a little extra work. After a few hours of researching she learned the process was exceedingly more complicated for someone in Shade’s situation. Complicated, but not impossible. She would need more information about him, but then another thought hit, what if these bad guys knew how to track names? Then she knee what she would need to do. They would need nee identities. She knew someone back in America. So she sent a friend an email in code. Asking about ‘Jerry’ and saying she had two ‘friends’ to introduce. They would respond soon, possibly by the time she got home and checked her email app on her phone! Logging off and erasing her browser history, log in data the works she went ahead and checked out a few books. She and Shade could always come back later.
At last around 3pm she walked through the door. Some how the adrenaline had lasted until she passed the threshold and then, she could hardly walk. Shower... bed... She hadn’t meant to, but as soon as she closed the door she collapsed against it and ended up sliding down into a sotting position. Totally exhausted.close enough
Shade had pulled up a blanket and gone to sleep on the couch where he woke up very late the next morning to the point that Hush had woken up before him, saw him asleep, and took some cereal in the bedroom so as to try and not wake up Shade with the noise. Shade woke and had his breakfast around 11, and then he stared to get a little worried about how long Kim was being. She hadn’t told him when her shift finished by he felt like she should be home by now... He didn’t want to resume the voice recordings with Hush around so they settled for playing their borrowed board game after some lunch. Then Shade got increasingly worried and eventually he was about to go out to the diner and look for Kim when she finally came through the door. He moved over to greet her but then she was collapsing and he quickly ran to her side as she ended up seated on the floor. He smiled faintly in amusement. He could tell she didn’t seem hurt or in a bad way she was just utterly exhausted. “Come on, Kim,” he murmured softly and gently lifted her up, mostly carrying her to the couch, he had though the bedroom first but decided the couch would probably be more comfortable. He placed a pillow under her head and draped the blanket over her, then turned back to Hush and held his index finger over his lips in the symbol to shush, smiling slightly afterward. Hush smiled faintly back.

She mumbled something and she ended up on the couch and quickly went into a very deep sleep again not waking up till the next morning. Does this time despite how exhausted she might’ve been she slept all the way until 6 AM the next day little over 12 hours.
Shade just made sure Kim was comfortable and then he and Hush had to be quiet for the rest of the afternoon and night. Shade was kind of itching to get out a bit he wasn’t one to like being cooped up but it wasn’t as if this place wasn’t pleasant and he felt a little apprehensive of leaving Kim here alone so he settled for staying. He made himself and Hush dinner from a few of the many leftover meals in the fridge merely warmed up in the microwave, then he and Hush went to bed in the bedroom. Though they went to sleep later so they weren’t yet awake when Kim woke at 6am. If Kim dared to peek into the room, she’d see Hush curled up into a ball, sleeping cuddled against the back of a huge, fluffy snow leopard that was also curled up quite a bit, eyes closed and nose tucked under its paw.

She had a habit of not taking care of herself as she probably should. As she went to go to the bathroom if the door was open she would indeed glance in and see very cute seen and smile warmly at it. And continue on to the bathroom take a nice hot long shower by the time of which she was starving and she made her a cold breakfast. And then laid back down on the couch not going to sleep but just laying there and looking up at the ceiling breathing easily. Her phone vibrated and she absentmindedly reach for picking it up and looking at it. However she scowled at the single word that was on the screen. Very unpleasant curse word used on women quite often. She cleared her screen and put the phone back down.
Shade eventually woke likely to the sound of Kim making her breakfast not that she was loud necessarily by just because he was a light sleeper, and had heightened hearing in this form. He shuffled away from Hush and stretched in that snow leopard form before shifting. He left Hush be, knowing he probably liked all this good sleep they were getting, something they hadn’t gotten as well at he brothel of course... and it still hasn’t been great on the streets. He headed out into the living room and smiled when he beheld Kim laying on the couch. “Hello there zombie of last night.” He said lightly as he strode to the fridge to get his own breakfast.

Shade indeed looked up a little surprised at her very hearty thank you before bringing his breakfast over to the sofa and their table. “It’s nothing, it’s what any decent person would do.” He said with a shrug. He smiled at her. “Besides I think what you did when you first met us outdoes that by a mile.” After all she’d literally invited them into her home and let them eat her food! When she hadn’t even had much for herself to begin with.

Shade rested his plate on his lap and started eating. Indeed he smirked wide as she repeated his comment, one of the widest smiles she probably would have seen on him. In all honesty, he might not have said that he hadn’t met many decent people either, because while he couldn’t be sure, it was possible that many people he’d performed in front of while in the circus had been decent. All those people just wanting to go out for a night of fun and wonder. All the smiling men and women and children. He’d used to love it. Now he wasn’t sure if he wanted to ‘perform’ for anyone again... So he fell a little awkwardly quiet for a moment before clearing his throat. “How was work?” He asked her to break any silence.

“ do usually isn’t too many customers that late at night, but it being one of the few 24 hour diners you get all sorts of people. Next shift got me a lot more tips so that was definitely good. Not really a lot that happens at a diner to talk about we take orders get people their food be polite try and get as much right as possible and make sure their cups don’t run out of drink and hope they tip.” Sadly a lot of people didn’t tip whether the food was good or bad even though that wasn’t her fault matter what because her job is just to take the order and bring it even if it was wrong if she wrote it right it still wasn’t her fault but people like to take it out on the waitress who unlike the cook with a busboy had to live off tips because they made below minimum wage.
((Make below minimum wage?! I thought that isn’t legal, that’s why it’s minimum wage...))
Shade nodded along as she explained about work, not quite expecting her to say so much but he didn’t mind as he simply scoffed down his breakfast. “Hope you don’t get too many trouble makers in the early hours of the morning.” He commented. “But I guess you’d know how to handle them, ex-officer.” He added and glanced at her with a smirk.

Kim couldn’t help but laugh at that. “Let me know how to take care of myself but it doesn’t mean I still can’t get in the trouble.“ Play for grand Texan at the corner of her mouth. “Thankfully I haven’t had to deal with a robbery yet. That’s actually normally for that late night shift that would be more likely to happen less witnesses big hopes of getting the money out of the register before it’s been emptied and put somewhere or taken to the bank.” She thought a moment and chuckled. “In truth because of my officer training I actually could make a pretty decent crook.” She was joking of course her own sense of morals would stop that from happening pretty straight away.
((Wow that is terrible! Yeah of course it’s no good when people don’t tip them but then you’ve got foreign people like me who might not know much and don’t know about the concept of tipping and just don’t tip because they’re not aware. Man that is so horrible! ))
Shade smirked lightly in amusement. “Of course not but you could handle it better probably.” He said in reply. Though he found himself glad when she said she hadn’t had to deal with a robbery yet. At her comment about making a decent crook Shade laugher, then pointed his finger at her. “Slow down there, it takes more than that sort of training to be a decent crook.” He said, smirking at her and then even winking playfully. It was kind of true though, you also needed a quick and sharp mind, not to mention a scheming one, preparation, planning, vigilance, the ability to think quick on your feet. In truth it was no easy feat.

Kim nodded. “Point taken.” She grinned as he informed her that being a crook was much more difficult. “Oh, I’m full of surprises.” She winked and laughed. After all she was a writer, she had the mind for it for certain. How else did she write such good villains. That and she thought quick on her feet. “Besides, I knew how to be pretty crafty, back at the foster home...” Had she just said that aloud? She hadn’t mentioned she was an orphan had she? She knew when she hid in the closet, she had said some things, but... maybe she had. Her face was still scarlet. She didn’t talk about that part of her life. If she had the past Shade did, she would honestly pretty much pretend it hadn’t existed. True that wasn’t the healthiest way to deal, but she would survive it.
Shade raised a brow. “Oh are you now?” He said amusedly in response to her comment about being full of surprises. Then she seemed to be about to tell a story of just how crafty she could be apparently back in her foster home but then she seemed to trail off. Shade are a bite of his food and looked to her questioningly when she paused, realising she had just mentioned the foster home... Maybe it was a sensitive subject. Indeed Kim had said once before that she had grown up in the foster system so he knew. “You okay?” He asked her gently, eyeing her a little concernedly. As for his past, Shade was kind of pretending it didn’t exist, or at least pretending that it didn’t affect him. Sure he talked about it pretty easily and just called the people who had done it jerks and worse names and tried to make himself think and have the mindset that none of it was his fault, but maybe it was just all efforts to repress his real feelings.

Shade frowned a little as she moved to stand so she probably didn’t quite see it on him. She had trailed off from the story and he could just tell she seemed unhappy. He had finished his own food and so had a reason to follow her to the kitchen, bringing his own plate up. “Foster home wasn’t a good place huh?” He murmured to her softly. He wouldn’t pry but, he felt he owed it to her to at least ask, give her the choice of sharing.

((Oh jeez! I thought she got adopted by an alright family? :( Poor Kim!))
Shade swore he stopped breathing and his eyes stretched wide when Kim said her parents had been murdered. And then has she described the foster homes she’d been in his shoulders hunched as he grew angry, angry that someone as nice as Kim had had to deal with that. Part of him wondered how she was still so kind and nice after all that, after the world had wronged her so... And he marvelled at her strength. He felt bad for her, because sure while he’d had horrific things happen to him, at least he’d had a childhood. He’d had his family, his friends at the circus. He remembered running around with the other kids, like Liesel the tight rope walker, and others like Sid and Darcy. His good friends. He found he missed them..: He narrowed his eyes as she mentioned that ‘things had happened’... “What kind of things...?” He asked before he could stop himself.

Kim’s throat tightened, and she busied herself with washing the dish and silverware she had eaten with. Using it to focus. “Well, they would play ‘hide and seek’...” She spoke softly, audible, but barely as if the very words caused her to strain. “You didn’t want to be found... I got good at hiding... but, I still heard... The lucky ones were found by the mom, and beat, or given a ‘bath’... the unlucky ones... the dad found. They had a biological son, who when he turned 13 started to ‘play’ and he always went after me.” She couldn’t stop, she was there. Not only did she not feel or hear the water, but she couldn’t even see. It was that dark closet again. “I tried to help the new kids... but I got scared... I was too afraid of the men... they would hurt you bad if you resisted and then still...”
She closed her eyes her breathing shaky. “They called it ‘intimate time’... boys and girls... didn’t matter. I was sixteen when they decided I would have a ‘special’ Birthday Party…”
((Wait I’m so confused, that’s her biological family you’re talking about right, that got murdered, dad was a cop?
Then I thought she got adopted after going into foster care but it seems like, no...? Uh explain it in PM if you want XD Yeah I knew about the Sherlock thing
And oh my gosh holy crap! :o :( ))
Shade ended up dropping his spoon which clattered rather unexpectedly loudly on the floor. He hadn’t had the sense to coordinate himself to grab it. He stared at her. He’d been frowning at her as she started to speak but then his face has morphed into one of horror. She couldn’t mean... what had been done to her... It couldn’t be... Not the same... Shade could hardly breathe himself now. He had the urge to hurry and reach out for hand, but then realised that probably wasn’t good to do. For he knew himself. He did move his hand, but only so it rested abruptly next to hers, not touching, but barely an inch away. “K-Kim...” he could barely croak the words out but he had to. “Did they...?” She would know what he was asking.

she said the name with no small amount of venom. “Was an all star football player. He tackled me hard and he was a pretty big guy and very muscular. I still thought as he drag me back to the car and apparently I won’t get his pride, because he decided he wanted to teach me a lesson to take the fight out of me as he said… He threw me in the trunk and proceeded to drive like a maniac bumps hills crazy turns I was getting knocked around and beat up I tried to shield myself and then I heard the sound of sirens. I had hope he was going to get arrested. He didn’t pull over though, he ran crazy Chase and a bad wreck later. I was knocked unconscious stuck inside the crunched up vehicle. They didn’t find me until almost 2 days later and take me to the hospital...” and despite all she’s been through she felt guilt. For making him think that she had endured with he had. To be violated like that in her mind it was even worse, then anything she ever had to deal with. Not only to have it happen once but repeatedly. The people that could do that sort of act were demons!
The tension practically burst from Shade’s body like air deflating from a balloon. If he had learned she’d had something that happened to her too... But it seemed as if things had come close... That... intimate time she mentioned... He then listened to her story and he inhaled sharply and his hand slowly curled into a fist as she went on and towards the end he was gritting his teeth. He looked a breath, then leaned down to be level with her, trying to catch her eye. “Kim... I’m so sorry... Someone like you... You deserve the best life you could have... Despite all that’s happened in the world, all you’ve been through, the evil you’ve seen of it... You still helped me? You let us into your apartment? Even when you had, had something like that happen to you...” He clenched his jaw. “I am so sorry... you had to go through that...”

Kim honestly was a little surprised lifting her head and looking him in the eyes despite her self her breath caught as he spoke. It wasn’t that she had never heard kind words before. With her good parents and then some of the nice people she met after getting away till now she had heard encouragement and kind words. Though something about his made her heart skip a beat. As he talked about despite what she had been through that she let him out to men into the house it probably made more sense why she had made the statement she did about them being a threat to her, but she had always trusted her instincts. They had never led her wrong. When her heart told her it was the right thing to do no matter how stupid it looked she did it.
“Shade...” Her voice was so quiet, his eyes. They were so passionate, but also kind. For her? Why was he apologizing to her? He didn’t do anything wrong. She absentmindedly wiped A tear from her cheek with her left hand. “Thank you.“ She didn’t want us to say she was flabbergasted. Such kind words for her, it would be a lie to say she just trusted many easily. She naturally gravitated towards women perceiving them as a little bit less of a threat but not much. With all that happened that’s probably why she enjoyed writing so much a reality that she could control, so much like hers yet not like her’s. The good guys could always win the dangers could still be horrible but there were always be friends to stand with you you would never have to be alone and justice would prevail one way or another!
((That’s why writing is so good!))
Shade couldn’t find it in him to smile but when she said thank you he felt his heart gave a strange flutter. He straightened and readjusted himself and let his eyes fart at the heavy silence that fell before swallowing. “I can’t believe you’re doing all of this for us... with how much you’ve been through...” he murmured before looking to her again and he tried to force the faintest smile. “Guess that’s why you became a police officer huh? Wanted to stop things like that from happening to other people?” He pursed his lips. “And help yourself...” he moved to bend down and pick up the spoon he’d dropped.

Kim actually gave a genuine chuckle. “That is a big part of it, so many people are treated so badly in this world and they’re good people who don’t deserve it but then there are other good people out there that if they knew they would be out rage. What I told you there’s a lot of bad, but there’s also good that happened. I don’t remember it well but the first seven or so years I was with my adoptive parents were the greatest! And then after I got away from everything I was able to give some information to a detective who pushed and was able to put them in prison. I gave him an email address and stayed in contact with him through it. Giving him all information he asked for places to look things to look for how they had everything. People abuse the system, and take advantage of the laws loopholes but I helped him work through that. All those kids and any future kids were saved from that family of horrors. I guess you could say, when I looked at Hush... he reminded me of the kids that I tried to help but couldn’t. I still feel guilty for leaving like I should’ve done something more still feel guilty for all the times I hated when I should’ve tried to just come and stop them...” She sighed. “ I went to another town caught in the school I graduated early I even made a few friends one particularly who was being bullied a lot and I tried to help her and protect her. Maybe I have a hero complex.“ She was trying to lighten the mood. “But her father helped me get into the police academy I had good enough grades to qualify for scholarships and I was able to graduate become an officer I saved every penny I had in the pursuit of trying to find out who killed my parents...”
((Omg I just did the same sort of typo with Ahana and we laughed so hard! XD I HATE when that happens XD))
Shade listened as she went on, content to just listen, managing a faint smile as she told the story of how she had worked with a detective to get them put behind bars. “Good for you.” He said firmly with a nod. Hen when she mentioned about Hush he stilled, and his mouth quirked a little more. “Yeah... He had that effect on me too...” He tensed. “He was so young... seemed so small. He sort of reminded me of my little brothers, I have a bunch. And just the tiniest trace of a thought of them being somewhere like that...” he shuddered. “That’s why I had to help him. And I guess... we kind of helped each other really.” There had indeed been a few nights, or, more so days since they worked in the night, when he had been in a bad way, and instead, Hush had been the one to keep him in the present, to be a reassurance. Shade frowned as she mentioned the murder of her parents again. “Your parents... what... happened? If you want to say...” He asked carefully.

Shade frowned as she mentioned the murder of her parents again. “Your parents... what... happened? If you want to say...” He asked carefully.

When I asked about her parents she actually didn’t mind yes it still hurt but it wasn’t as sensitive as a topic as her foster home. “There was a lot of theories, you see when I came home with my aunt from staying with my cousins we found them sitting on the couch everything looked perfect had a remote in his hand they had their drinks that had even had the ice fully melted everything was perfect except for the fact their heads were missing...” she frowned at the grim image that was seared into her mind. “There was more than that that made it strange, there is no blood anywhere small amount at the neck but… I stole the autopsy report and found out they had already been dead when their heads are removed, and the police force I learned that the removal of the head is usually to delay identification but everyone knew who it was fingerprints and DNA of course confirmed. The crazy thing is they still don’t know how they died no poison or toxins in their system at all no sign of self-defense of one’s restraining it’s completely a mystery.”
Shade raised a brow a little, perhaps mildly impressed by her words but then. “Wait I’m a little confused. So... Hush is the one that lets the trauma shape him?” He asked. Then he smirked a little. “Well which category do I fall into then?” He asked amusedly. But perhaps part of him was curious to hear what she’d say, what she thought.
He then listened as she dived into the story and honestly when she said everything had seemed normal at first since she’d said before that her parents had been murdered he was expecting her to say that it happened soon after but then Suddenly she dropped the bomb that they’d been missing their heads and his face went slack as he just continued to listen. “Nothing...? How could that be possible?” He breathed. Then he frowned. “Hold on, this aunt and, cousins you stayed with, why didn’t they help you after it happened?” And after they were bloody with her to see it! Had hey really been so callous to just leave Kim to the cruel world she’d found herself in?

Her eyes widened and she shook her head. “I’m sorry, that’s out of line… Easy I tend to get extremely introspective and over analytical and I-I shouldn’t of said any of that...” oh man she hope she hadn’t just offended him she wasn’t trying to insinuate he was a coward or anything it was just a way of dealing with stuff and besides she could be wrong she didn’t think she was this absolute knowledge on the fact. It was just her observation.
“No not a piece of evidence it was as if nothing happened, one of the greatest mysteries I’ve ever heard of. I’ve come up with one insane theory after the next including alien of duction‘s and superhuman powered assassins...”
She shook her head and gave a sad smile. “I was angry at them for the longest time I blame them for everything that happened to me afterwards and I guess Innoway it really was their fault… But, they had lost an aunt and uncle and brother a sister… A son or daughter they were not able to deal with that loss and I think in a way the family blamed me. It was unexplainable and I was the strange equation in that house. The thing that they invited in by choice. I wasn’t really blood and it made it easier for them to push me away, and I’ve been an adult the situation would’ve been different it would been reasonable but because I was a child I was pushed into the foster care system. There is a instructor at the Academy who kind of played therapist with me. He was the chaplain and an expert on psychology. He talked about the emotional and spiritual strain serving as a police officer could have. On them and their families. He counseled educated men toward. It wasn’t for him I don’t think I’d ever been able to forgive them.” Yeah she had forgiven them that it still hurt? Yeah! Like a knife to the stomach, but she had forgiven them he talked about the emotional and spiritual strain serving as a police officer could have. On them and their families. He counseled educated men toward. It wasn’t for him I don’t think I’d ever been able to forgive them.“ Yeah she had forgiven them that it still hurt? Yeah! Like a knife to the stomach, but she had forgiven them
Shade was leaning against the kitchen bench, leaning forward with his arms folded on the surface, his head bobbing as he simply nodded along, his expression thoughtful and a little unfocused until she suddenly apologised and he looked to her and smiled slightly. “Hey don’t sweat it. It’s fine. You’re... probably right about most of it...” he said with a shrug. “While I don’t try and make it seem as if it didn’t happen, I try not to let it get to me, tell myself that none of it was my fault. And I’m not going to let them ruin my life anymore than they already have, so I’m not going to give them that power. I’ll be decent and logical and cautious of people as anyone should be, but I’m not going to let myself be scared.” He smirked. “Maybe a little bitter, since I didn’t really care about swindling from people for a little while, felt as if I didn’t owe anyone else anything and people hadn’t been kind to me so what did I care about stealing a few meals or dollars from them? But I guess maybe I just need to keep recovering.” He looked at her and smiled. “And it helps that some people at least show kindness.”
He then glanced in the direction of the hallway. “I don’t blame Hush though... For how much it’s clearly affected him. He’s so much younger than me after all... The fact that he had to go through that...” his eyes flared and he clenched his fists in anger. “I need to help him get back to his home... Even before I go back to mine.” Because of course he too wanted to go home... His mother was probably worried sick, yes he was her eldest and he’d technically been an adult but still, and all his little brothers and his sister.
He then listened as Kim talked about that family who had abandoned here and he supposed it made some sort of sense but it still made him angry that they’d just leave her like that it didn’t seem to be something decent people would do. “Hm, I don’t think you should have forgiven them, to be honest. Not fully at least. Of course, don’t compromise yourself and let yourself live your own life don’t just let the bitterness consume you. But I don’t think you should let them have the benefit of your forgiveness. No way do they deserve that.” He said. Of course, maybe he was just projecting a little of his own feelings, how he felt about those people of course, as if he’d ever forgive them. But still he didn’t feel Kim should have to forgive the people who abandoned her.

When he said what he did about forgiveness she actually smiled. “See that’s the thing about forgiveness, it doesn’t go to people who do deserve it... it only goes to the undeserving because they’re actually at fault. Though I didn’t really forgive them for them, I for gave them for me. The longer I held on the unforgiveness even if I tried to not let it bother me it still was like a poison in my veins in my heart. When I chose to forgive them though I honestly hate them, I can talk about them without getting upset. One day I hope to be able to actually forgive the foster family. I’m not there yet, but... I guess I learned when you allow yourself to forgive it doesn’t mean you forget and it doesn’t mean you trust or even like the people, it basically means you quit giving them your thoughts your energy your focus you quit holding it against them you live your life and you’re no longer trying to keep books on them wanting revenge. But that doesn’t mean the family that committed crime shouldn’t be brought to justice it just means that I don’t want to go further than the law. Balance. That’s what I was taught and…“ She looked up at him and there was actually a sparkle in those sapphire eyes of her’s. “ that’s the only way that I can look at this world and still be kind to anyone. I was in a prison of unforgiveness and now I’m able to be free..” She sounded genuinely happy and not at all like she was lecturing or guilty but just sharing what she herself experienced. She wouldn’t judge him by however he chose to deal with his own thoughts and emotions his own past she wasn’t on the judge but she had found that this has helped her so much and in truth of that saved her. From darkness and hate.
Shade shook his head. “I can just have him tell me. The only reason we hadn’t yet was just because, well we needed to survive, we needed food and I sort of just had to focus on that getting us enough food each day, whether it was stealing or selling things for a little money. Then once we started getting it a little more under control for ourselves I’d start helping him look.” He explained.
He looked at her with some surprise as she talked about her feelings behind forgiving those people and it had him smiling a little and he just exhaled and shrugged lightly. “I suppose. I don’t know, the way I see it I don’t even want to give them my thoughts enough to forgive them. Especially not when they’re doing it to others. When they did it to Hush. I don’t want revenge exactly although of course I wouldn’t protest at all to them getting what’s coming for them, I just want to get my life back. I’m not going to give them the time of my thoughts and energy, but I just don’t think I can ever say that forgive them... Not for that.” He said, pursing his lips.

((I swear you always have the character’s who forgive and let themselves be free as I always have the character’s who are unwilling to forgive for whatever reason XD
Also hehe... I did have the idea that Kim could always come with him to Argentina... XD How cute would that be? If she wasn’t attached to anything but of course it’s up to you and I realise she still wants to solve the case with her parents of course so yeah up to you))

“I can understand that too, for me it was just something I had to do. To sever a chain that tied me to them. But it’s more easy to forgive someone who just wronged you wants, then someone who continually wronged people and still does to this day. And I’m still dedicated to doing whatever it takes to bring them to justice. And helping you get home as well.“ She wanted him to know that she wasn’t forgetting that he wanted to go home. And though she hope it didn’t upset him she couldn’t handle being curious. “What was your Home like?”
((Haha, yesh. Forgiveness has had a big part in my life and reality so it naturally carries over to a couple of my favorite characters though I have characters that don’t forgive Scarlet is one of them ;-) lol ))
((and about her going with him I actually love that idea. I had considered asking if you wanted to make this a one on one and just put in a folder and rename it since we’ve had so much happening in the exact same thread and we started to develop a huge plot in our own story and if we want someone else to come in they can do some kind of guest appearance or something but primarily just be kind of a separate world LOL))
Shade looked to her and a slow but wide smile formed onto his face. “Thanks.” He said, his tone completely sincere. He nodded at the words she said, glad she understood and didn’t think him wrong for choosing not to forgive. “Exactly... Just knowing that they caused this for Hush as well...” it was self-explanatory so he said no more. He smiled again as she repeated her promise to help. “I can’t express how grateful I am Kim, thank you.” He said. Of course he would never be upset when talking about his home, Sure he missed it a whole lot but it was thoughts of home that kept him going! So he seemed to even light up for a moment when she asked the question though then he ducked his head a little shyly. “I... almost feel bad saying it after you had to explain yours...” and not terrible that had been... But he still smiled as he spoke. “But, it was... really great.”
((Sorry about not explaining it much yet I’ll do it in the next post when I have more room ;) she can ask him about it ;)
Hehe! ;)
Ooh yeah sure! You mean just renaming this thread and putting it in its own folder? Bc at first I was like I don’t want to suddenly start up in a separate thread we need to keep this all together then I realise we just do that haha 😂 And yay awesome for Kim to come with him! XD She will love it at the circus XD
I think I have an idea so Hush and his ‘family’ can come along with them too!))

((yeah I just need to do it when I get on a computer later rename it and put it in the one on one thread LOL
I love the circus, and because were doing that I’m kind of tempted to see if I can give her some kind of unique gift LOL maybe that she doesn’t even know of XD because it’s not like she could really do anything at the circus be nice if she could be part of the show somehow… So that gives me an idea! She’s always been a natural when it comes to animals and you saw how if she was with the stray animals maybe she could be one of the animal trainers because she just naturally has the proper mannerism for it and it’s almost like a supernatural ability but humans can have that ability where they just are perfectly in sync with other creatures? Oh and that would be so perfect two since you can turn in the animals that it’s almost like she sort of tamed him? LOL I know not really but you get what I’m saying right?))
((Oh my gosh Best and worst in the same day so sad... XD))
Shade’s smile grew and he gave a nod. “Yeah, I was part of a travelling circus. We travelled around everywhere.” His eyes shone. “Went to so many different and amazing places, with so many different kinds of people. It was so great and free.” He grinned as she mentioned the trapeze artists and the animal trainers. “Well you’re in luck.” He said and nudged her playfully. “I did the trapeze. Though I can also juggle.” He shrugged and chuckled lightly. “Since I’m a shapeshifter I also did a few acts that involved me turning into animals and doing some tricks. People are aware shapeshifters exist but they never expect to see one, they always love that.” He said with a grin. Because let’s just say in this world perhaps fantastical creatures like vampires, werewolves and shapeshifters are known to live amongst people fairly normally. Then, all the memories flooded in as Shade went on. “It was all... really great. My father is one of the conductors and my mother is a palm reader. See we’re also a bit of a carnival too, a mini one with a circus act every night. In the day my friends and I would often explore the places we’re in, as long as we’re back for performance time.” He laughed. “Oh man one time Sid and Darcy and I were so close to being late. Sid’s father nearly bit our heads off after the performance. He’s the head of the circus.” He then laughed and shook his head. “When we were teenagers, like 16 or something, one time we snuck out late in the night and... we might have gotten a little drunk.” He snorted. “Went bumbling back to camp. Oh my mother killed me the next day.” He was probably rambling a little, but he felt well and truly back there now. And it felt so nice... “I have 4 little brothers and a little sister too. Apparently I’m supposed to be an example for them.” He said, grinning hugely and jokingly standing up straight and lifting his chin.
((I can do it at some point maybe too :)
Yeah that’d be awesome! No I totally get what you’re saying omg that is so adorable and perfect! Love it! ))

((funny thing about me apparently even though I don’t like writing romance I’m a hopeless romantic so I can apparently do you romantic plots and seems fairly well which surprised me because I didn’t think I could, my co-author kept telling me how much they loved my little scene because of how romantic I could be XD I think I just stared at them stupidly LOL))
Shade happily taught her anything she wanted to know about tricks and the performances. He of course, didn't get drunk that much but teenage boys would be teenage boys, but admittedly the hangover he'd had the next day had kind of cautioned from drinking again, even to this day. He and his friends had been so lucky they hadn't had to perform the next day, though granted that was kind of why they'd dared to do it. Sid was a planner. Then as she asked about his brothers and sisters Shade grinned, his eyes shining. "They are... indescribable." He said and chuckled. "They're bundles of energy, I swear they never stop. But I love them all so much." As she asked if they fought a lot Shade shook his head, because well, they really didn't. "Thing is all my siblings are a fair bit younger than me, I am the oldest by far. Pedro is the second oldest and he's six years younger than me. So I'm really the big brother. They bicker amongst themselves more than they ever bicker with me. They just run around my feet and beg me to play with them." He chuckled, his eyes full of warmth. "There's Pedro, he always tries to be the responsible other oldest one. There's Enzo, he's the jokester. There's Zaire, who's the fiercest little one. Then there's the little princess Lela, the only sister amongst all us boys, and then there's little Miguel." That was in order of age. Good lord... Lela had been only 6 and Miguel just 4 when he had been... taken. They'd be... grown up a little now. Lela would be 10! And tiny little Miguel would be... 8. And Pedro, 12 year old prideful little Pedro... He would be 16... Shade loosed his breath a little. He'd missed so much of them growing up... Suddenly he wondered if they missed him, as much as he so painfully missed them...
((HAHA! That's so great XD Yeah while I don't really consider myself to know much about romance because I've never even bloody kissed anyone, I do like doing plots that involve it sometimes, I have a few adorable couples that I absolutely love! XD We live differently in our fantasies XD))

((Omg I can’t wait to play all these siblings XD Though you might have to help me a little! Haha! Did you want to maybe play Enzo and, maybe Miguel? - since he’d still be so little I don’t think I’ve seen you play a character that’s very young before apart from Kim... only if you ant to of course! XD And I think Enzo would remind me of Fox XD ))

((Haha right? XD I have to say if this ends up going the way we’re talking these two may become one of my favorite pairings I just like the chemistry between them))
Shade beamed. And it wasn't that he thought so highly of himself like he had the best family or whatever but of course he was going to say it. "They are..." He breathed. But even then his tone had turned solemn and as she asked him how long ago was that Shade swallowed. "4 years..." He answered. He'd been in that place for 4 years... Then as she asked those other questions he looked up, seeming worried, though he managed to smile ever so slightly about her comment that if she had been family she would want to see him and know he was okay, but it quickly faded as he thought. "Unfortunate thing is... I don't know where they might be... The circus travels about so it's not like there's an address. And well... they're a little... old fashioned. I don't think Sid's father even has email." He sighed. "Sid might, but I don't know it... I don't think there's... a way to contact them..." It almost pained him to say it...
((Haha ooh! XD
Yup ;) ))
