but yes times skip is perfectly fine, Thank God *Collapses*))
((Ohhh Kim good gosh why would you think that you know I would never do that! Ahhhh I’m so sorry you got upset! Bad wording on my part I’m so sorry! Dude I love this RP too and we had so many ideas I’m excited for with it of course I wouldn’t end it!!!

Kim surprised herself at the sort of chuckle/giggle, that came from her. Walking with him hand-in-hand and stepping out into a world that had been terrifying before and now seems so still and quiet. Beautiful. How had everything changed over such a short period of time.
((Haha ok! And sure, sorry it might take me a bit though. Shade is going to grow very nervously after all))
They returned to the apartment and from there life carried on. Shade did a few more stints at the diner resulting in a surge for Adam's business, however he refused any money if Adam tried to pay him anything, insisted it was simply thanks for all of his incredible help. Shade and Kim along with Hush continued their lives, awaiting the looming trial, which seemed to be slowly starting to stress both Shade and Hush, and perhaps Kim too. Though Shade had been in contact with Severin a fair bit too as his friend let him know some of the things he could say and other ways in which he could increase the likelihood of conviction for his father, also known as Miles Brom.
Finally, the day of the trial arrived, not that Shade could sleep the previous night, like at all, so for him it felt more like time slowly crept along until the trial was close. They awakened and met the day and started to get ready for their journey to the courthouse. Shade seemed to dote on Hush a little more than usual, though maybe it was in an effort to settle his own extreme nerves. He felt nauseous like he might be sick at any moment. He failed at eating breakfast. Adam was called to babysit Hush while Kim and Shade were gone, for Hush seemed quite squeamish and disturbed as well. Soon enough it was time to leave. Shade stood in front of the bathroom mirror one last time, making sure he looked the way he was supposed to. He was pretty sure the skin of his face had gone a shade paler than its usual hue though. He tried to take slow, deep breaths but the tingle of anxiety wasn't leaving him.

Kim thanks to help from shade was able to handle a lot of the things that came a lot easier and though she still hadn’t plucked up her courage to go for a walk alone perhaps she’d have been willing to accompany her on a walk unfortunately she wanted to be the person who is strong in there for him as this trial started but she felt equally sick to her stomach and did her best to appear upbeat and cheerful but in truth for suffering mild panic attacks with regular frequency.
It was funny because before she had never even thought about hesitating to speak in front of people and now she didn’t want to speak at all, but knew she probably would need to because now she was just as much a victim, well maybe not just a touch but she was a victim as well as the others. She managed to force yourself to eat that way she had something to throw up if she did get sick like she was feeling she would.
Repeatedly stating that mantra to herself. I’m not gonna cry, I’m not going to cry. I’m not gonna cry. she needed to be strong for both of the guys that were so important in her life. When Adam arrived the air lightened if only slightly and he had brought donuts. Insisting that she ate one though she knew she would regret this later she did.
Adam lumbered over towards the table, and set the donuts down letting Hush no that he could have the pic of them. He also included some pigs in blankets and donut holes. For those that didn’t like things too sweet he really had one of each sort of variety old-fashioned cake donuts eclairs with cream filling normal plain glazed chocolate icing with sprinkles. And then he had some that seem to be just filled donuts with strawberry and raspberry and boysenberry.
((Why is that so funny to me? Adam arrived and he brought DONUTS! XD))
Shade was quite surprised by Adam’s gift of the donuts and he thanked the man for it and of course for coming to look after Hush in the first place. He managed to eat one of the chocolate donuts too, he didn’t get as bad with not being able to eat from his anxiety like Hush did though he still didn’t exactly have an appetite, but at least the donut was pleasant to eat anyway.
Hush only managed to nibble at a plain glazed donut, no more. Finally it was time to go.
Shade quickly made his way over to Hush, resting his hands on the boy’s shoulders and bending down to look up at him in the eye. “Alright, bye buddy. We’ll be back later okay?” He said softly.
Hush seemed to eye him worriedly and then signed. ‘Are you going to be okay?’
Shade smiled. “Yeah, I’ll be fine. Don’t worry.” He then nodded firmly. “We’re going to finally take them down for good yeah?”
Hush looked hesitant but at the words he gave a nod.
Shade ran a hand through Hush’s had affectionately before finally he stood back up. “Okay... shall we?” He said as he slowly turned to Kim. His face likely couldn’t hide his anguish.

Adam didn’t really expect them to go hogwild on the donuts but he was happy to see that they actually had all engaged in them. And if there’s one thing he learned that a reheated donut done properly was still pretty darn good. And he would be sure and instruct them in the proper way to reheat a donut so that was almost as good as when it was fresh. His Express became all the more grim when he saw poor Shade’s face.
Kim nodded to Shade, and perhaps she should’ve waited until they left, but she felt it important to do something to hopefully comfort him. She walked over and if he let her she would take his hand look him in the eyes and give a firm nod. “Let’s finish what we started.” She said with a lot more conviction and strength then she realize she even had in this moment
Shade faced Kim and he inhaled sharply as she took his hand and met his gaze, not in a bad way, in fact quite the contrary, he was rather enthralled with her. Then at her words, he took a deep breath, narrowed his eyes firmly, and nodded in return. “Right.” He didn’t have anything to say but in the word was all that needed to be said, he would do it for so many other people who had had their lives destroyed, their families taken, their dignity taken. There was so much at stake. Now was the time for it to end. He cast a final lingering glance at Hush, who smiled sadly and waved goodbye and signed ‘Good luck.’ The gesture made Shade suck in a breath as his eyes started to prickle. Then finally they headed do the door and made their way out.

((we can skip over the drive if you like. Also I went back and looked she sings somewhere over the rainbow where her she was able to hear her while in the shower. I saw that one going through and copy and pasting))
It of course would be silly to say that Shade had no idea of this, but even if he did he was still very startled upon stepping outside and being confronted with the sight of the armoured car and the police officers. So much so that he froze in his tracks, his breath catching, and even took a step back. A shudder courses through his body and then he was starting to shake as everything cane rising to the surface, his blood bubbling with anxiety.

Spade stepped forward away from the others signaling for them to just keep an eye out. “There still could be And attempt. On either of you, it’s necessary for your safety.” He felt so bad he could see the anxiety clear as day on the poor boy.
((yeah you were right. Only hush. No one else LOL for some reason I thought it happened while she was jogging and then I remembered thinking it was silly for her to sing while jogging because it’s hard to sing while running LOL so the shower was the next best place cause I had to work her in singing one of her favorite songs ie one of my favorite songs))
Shade’s breath only became more rapid and his heat started to heave. He was rapidly flipping between telling himself it was going to be okay and just freaking out, and neither were helping. He shook his head and his trembling intensified as he cringed, stammering. “N-no I-I... I cant do this, I-I can’t do-do this.” It wasn’t exactly the situation of someone making an attempt on him and Kim in fact that was the one thing he could understand it was just all this in general, the sheer scale of it, for some reason it was just so intimidating and with it came the looming reality of what he was doing, the people he was facing...

((Lol I do think you have a better memory than I do most the time XD)?
Shade blinked and finally managed to focus on Kim as she turned to face him, and he was startled by the tears in her eyes as they poured down her cheeks. Indeed he couldn’t help but feel the urge to run. It felt like his skin was crawling, like he was burning up, his blood tingling, temples pulsing! But then it all simmered down as he listened to Kim’s words. It was still there, but another voice started to speak. She was right. If he didn’t do this now it would all be for nought. She said he could go back and forget it, but really how was that possible? No way could he forget it. Running away from this wouldn’t make it go away. The only way it would go away, was if he faced it. If he put an end to all this once and for all. And make sure it happened to no one else. And instantly Hush’s face appeared in his mind’s eye. His resolve became certain just from that, but then he also found himself thinking of his family, all his little brothers, and his precious little sister Lela. This could have happened to them as well. And that was what changed the heat inside Shade to pure anger and determination. He would NEVER let something like this happen to his little siblings. And so he had to stop it now. “R-right.” His voice still trembled, but it was just because of the sheer intensity of emotions rather than just from fear. And finally Shade frowned determinedly and gave a nod. “Okay...” He squeezed Kim’s hand, and then he stepped forward towards that car.

Kim was still trembling, but she walked with him just as determined. This was only one step in the beginning of this final battle. They had to win, they had to make each and every one of those fiends pay for what they did, for the innocence they stole! Severin came to mind in that moment, his story, was just as tragic, but even with as much hate as he had, he still tried to do something. She was so proud of Shade for facing the demons looming over them. Once they were in the car she exhaled slowly. trying to calm her racing heart.
Spade had the men enter the car, they sat in the back and one in the front leaving Shade and Kim for the middle seat. For which she was glad, it was quite and awkward and looking at Shade she wanted to do something for him. She wanted to be brave too. It may have sounded crazy, and she probably could have chose a better song, but maybe it was a little bit selfish. It was a song that made her feel everything would get better.
"S-somewhere over the rainbow, way up high...
There's a land that I heard of... once in a lullaby,
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh, why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh, why can't I?"
She only stuttered are the beginning and had her eyes closed the majority of the song. Only once she finished did she feel foolish and horribly embarrassed.
